Dhanush Asks Viewers To Not Believe Online Reviews Ahead Of His Film, 'Idli Kadai', 'Ask Them And..'

Actor, Dhanush, who is all set for his upcoming film, 'Idli Kadai', recently requested his fans to not trust online reviews before watching the film.

Actor and filmmaker, Dhanush is a well-known figure in the South film industry. In the past few weeks, the actor has grabbed a lot of attention because of his dating rumours with Bollywood actress, Mrunal Thakur. Currently, Dhanush is gearing up for his upcoming film, Idli Kadai and he shared his thoughts on the same.

Dhanush requests viewers to not trust reviews before watching the film

Recently, the Kuberaa actor spoke about his upcoming film, Idli Kadai and explained that since the trailer has been released, people have already shared reviews about the film. Addressing the same, Dhanush requested all of his fans to not trust any reviews that surface online. He asked his fans to watch the film and then decide if it is good or bad. In his words:

"After the movie releases, there will be a few reviews that will come out at 8 am, when the film itself begins at 9 am. Please don’t believe such reviews. If a film releases at 9 am, one will get to know how the film is only at 12.30 pm. Even before the film ends, a lot of reviews will be put out. Please don’t believe such reviews. Please watch the film and make a decision or ask your friends who might have watched the film. Ask them and make a decision if whether you need to watch the film or not."

Dhanush continued to highlight the importance of survival of a film in the industry. He explained that there are a lot of businesses that are dependent on cinema, so it's very important for people to review a film properly. He was quoted as saying:

"Everybody’s films must do well. All the producers must do well. Not just in cinema, there are a lot of people outside it as well who are dependent on cinema. There are a lot of businesses that are dependent on cinema. Therefore, it is important that all films run successfully. This is in your hands. So, please watch the correct reviews and you decide how the film is. This is my request."

The trailer of Idli Kadai is out

The official trailer of Dhanush's upcoming film, Idli Kadai released on September 20, 2025, and the two-minute trailer opens with 'Murugan' (played by Dhanush) asking his father to buy an idli grinder. But his father thinks that the old and original taste will fade away because of the machine. The trailer features a small shop, 'idli kadai' and as the trailer progresses, it shows 'Murugan' leaving to study hotel management and will work with 'Ashwin' (played by Arun Vijay).

Slowly and gradually, 'Murugan' becomes a successful person, and it gets him money, but it also distances him from his family. However, things get ugly when 'Ashwin' betrays him, which sets up a fight as 'Murugan’ has to protect his family shop. The film, Idli Kadai is directed by Dhanush and it stars Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj and more. The film was originally planned for April 2025, but now will release on October 1, 2025.
