Pawan Kalyan, the beloved 'Power Star' of the Telugu film industry, has showcased his star power at the pre-release event of his upcoming movie, They Call Him OG, also known as OG. Despite the rains, thousands of people flocked to Hyderabad’s LB Stadium to welcome Pawan Kalyan. Along with him, Bollywood's one of the most iconic actors, Emraan Hashmi, who is set to play the role of the antagonist, also wowed the fans. With Pawan Kalyan being the star of thousands of fans, reportedly, traffic advisories and diversions were put in place in anticipation of the OG pre-release event. And the fans did not disappoint as thousands of people flocked to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium in Hyderabad. Even after it started raining mid-way through the event, the fans did not budge either. Arjun Das, who is also part of the film, later took to his social media to express his gratitude to the fans for staying through the rain. The actor penned down:
"A big thank you to everyone! Though it's raining, I’m so glad I got to spend time with you all. I wanted to talk to everyone, but couldn’t… Hoping you all get back home safe. We’ll meet again soon. Sending you all lots and lots of love. Your Arjun."
As the rains lashed in Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan made his massy entry to the stage with the audience erupting into loud cheers for him. The 'Power Star' was dressed in all black and looked as suave as ever with dark sunglasses complementing his ensemble. In the posters, Pawan Kalyan has been seen with a Japanese katana sword. Hence, in the event as well, the actor posed with the same and gave glimpses of 'Ojas "OG" Gambheera', his character in the upcoming movie.
Emraan Hashmi is all set to make his Tollywood debut and star as the antagonist in OG. At the event, music composer of the film, S. Thaman along with Emraan gave the audience a power-packed live performance. Pawan Kalyan thanked the Bollywood actor on stage and said that OG is the greatest opportunity to work with Emraan. The actor-politician also mentioned Emraan's very popular song, 'Jhalak Dikhla Ja'.
There have been several delays in launching the trailer of OG. Initially, it was reported that the trailer would drop on September 21, 2025 in the morning. However, a delay was announced and it was reported that the trailer will be unvieled to the live audience present at the pre-release event. As fans waited with anticipation at the event to see the trailer, the evening came to an end with no glimpse of it. Now, reports suggest that the OG trailer will be dropping on September 22, 2025, around 10 a.m.
