Zubeen Garg Last Video, Sang 'Tears In Heaven' Hours Before His Death During Scuba Diving Accident

Zubeen Garg's untimely death in Singapore during a scuba diving accident left the entire nation heartbroken. The musical world is mourning the loss. Now, a video of his singing at a restaurant has been going viral. The 52-year-old singer was seen smiling and singing at a restaurant. No one knew that it would be his final public appearance.

Zubeen Garg's last video surfaces

In the last video, Zubeen Garg was seen singing the song, Tears In Heaven. It was a soulful music performance. He was seen enjoying himself with the bandmates while he sang the song and received the usual applause and love. For those who don't know, Zubeen passed away while he was scuba diving on September 19, 2025.

Zubeen Garg's event manager, Shyamkanu Mahanta and his team issued their first statement after the singer's death. Confirming the heartbreaking news, Zubeen revealed that the iconic singer passed away at Singapore General Hospital around 2:30 p.m. Zubeen was scheduled to perform at the festival on September 20, 2025. The statement can be read as:

"With profound grief, we share the heartbreaking news that our beloved icon, Zubeen Garg, passed away today at Singapore General Hospital around 2:30 PM. Zubeen had arrived in Singapore just the day before yesterday. He was scheduled to be with us at the festival tomorrow, meeting and interacting with people. Earlier today, our entire team was engaged in a business meeting with senior Singaporean industrialists and policymakers at the Shangri-La Hotel to facilitate investments in Northeast India."

The event manager also talked about the unfortunate incident. He stated that during the meeting, they received a call from Zubeen's manager informing them that the singer had met with an accident. The statement also revealed that Zubeen was on a yacht visit, and they had no knowledge about it. Manager shared:

"During the meeting, we received a call from Zubeen’s manager informing us that he had met with an accident and had been rushed to Singapore General Hospital. We later learned that a few members of the local Assamese community had taken him on a yacht visit, of which we had no prior knowledge."

The manager revealed that they rushed to the hospital and are working with the High Comission to complete the procedures. He called it a monumental loss, and no words could express the pain of the loss.

Zubeen Garg's untimely death has left the entire nation mourning. He had made a huge fan following due to his singing. However, his passing in a tragic scuba diving accident in Singapore has left many in shock. According to reports, the singer fell into the sea while diving. He was soon rescued and rushed to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, Zubeen succumbed to his injuries.

Soon, his Assamese albums such as Maya, Zubeenor Gaan, Xabda, Pakhi, Shishu, and Jantra became a rage among people of all ages. He has also sung in Hindi films such as Dil Se, Vaastav, Fiza, Asoka, Kaante, Gangster, Krissh 3, and more. It is worth mentioning that it was his song "Ya Ali" from Gangster that made him a nationwide sensation.
