Schooling the troll, Abhishek had tweeted, "You are ill informed, immature and naive. Stop believing incorrect and bogus narratives. Think! Please, for your wife's and family's sake." When Abhishek had expressed his excitement on the reopening of cinemas in October, a Twitterati had called him "jobless". To which, Abhishek had replied, "That, alas, is in your (the audiences) hand. If you don't like our work, we won't get our next job. So we work to the best of our abilities and hope and pray for the best."
Earlier, in an interview with the SpotboyE, Abhishek Bachchan's wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had talked about his reaction to the trolls. She was quoted as saying, "Abhishek does what he has to do or what he feels like doing… to each his own. There have been instances where he has been silent for years and made a choice to remain silent and then once a while he decides to engage and then he does. On Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan season 6, Abhishek Bachchan had revealed how difficult it is for him when his father, the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan reviews his performances. He had stated, "It's very difficult. I have never said this, but it is. Because apart from being a co-star, a son, I'm also his biggest fan. And I genuinely say that. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that he is the greatest actor on earth."
