If reports are to be believed then Mukesh Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani proposed Shloka Mehta on Saturday i.e. March 24, 2018, in Goa. Yes! And the two have gotten engaged as well. Ambanis and Mehtas met in a plush five-star resort in Goa and that’s where the Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s engagement ceremony took place. Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s engagement, from the pictures which surfaced online, can be deduced to have taken place in a beach resort in Goa, under palm trees and white shamianas. In a hush-hush affair, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta finally got engaged after so many reports and conjectures doing rounds for quite a time. It is also learnt that Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding will take place later this year in Mumbai. And there is an official confirmation from Nita Ambani herself! Speaking to a leading newspaper, she was quoted as saying, “I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts.”
Recently, a source close to the Ambanis told media, “Shloka is a very charming girl, extremely cultured and it’s difficult to say which of the two families is lucky with this upcoming marriage.” And since then, Akash and Shloka’s wedding rumours have been floating in the news. However, later Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani’s mom, came out in the open and said, “Mukesh and I as parents have given our children the freedom to choose their life partners. When my son decides to get married, to whoever it is, we are going to welcome him and wish him all the happiness in the world.”
But then these reports surfaced earlier, and now that the official confirmation has come out, we are so elated about Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s wedding. For the ones who do not know, Shloka Mehta is the daughter of Russell Mehta, who is the Managing Director of Rosy Blue, a Belgian-Indian company which does business in diamonds. Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta have been close with each other ever since the two studied together at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Akash Ambani is the chief strategist at Jio India and Shloka has completed her Masters in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also one of the members of the panel of the board of directors at Rosy Blue. She also recently co-founded ConnectFor.
So, isn’t this a happy news for all? Finally, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta are engaged and we are soon going to witness a grand wedding this year!
