The duo had met on the sets of Fukrey and 'Bholi Punjaban' had fallen for the struggling musician, 'Zafar bhai', in real-life and their love is growing stronger with each passing day. We remember in March th news of their 2020 wedding was at rife, but due to the pandemic, their plans of tying the knot had gotten postponed.
On December 18, 2020, Richa Chadha turned a year older, and her beau, Ali took to his Instagram handle and penned a lovely birthday wish for her. The actor shared a couple of happy pictures of Richa. And the cutest was the one, wherein Ali was seen posing with the birthday girl and her kitty. Alongside it, he wrote, "I have no idea why I decided the claw. And that lovely expression But my love. It was indeed the best night- to be with you. And to be able to tell you, how beautiful and lovely you are among other rather enghthy adjectives . On September 17, 2020, Ali had posted a mushy picture with his ladylove. In the picture, we could see Ali and Richa lovingly looking at each other. Alongside the picture, Ali had written an appreciation note, which could be read as "Saathi. You got some of that genius, someone i know had. Cathartic empathy for every living soul human or otherwise. Hope i can learn a little from that.. i try. And hope them all Plebs learn from it. Aaj kyun? Bas aise hee. Kal? Kal dubbing hai. In a conversation with the Mumbai Mirror, Ali Fazal had talked about his wedding plans getting postponed, and gave a tentative time for his wedding. He had said, "Let's see when we are able to accept the new normal, then, we will decide on a date, maybe early next year." While his ladylove Richa Chadha had expressed, that it is only pragmatic to push the wedding to the coming year in the interest of everyone, who would wish to attend.
This year is actually a rollercoaster ride for the couple as Ali Fazal's mother had passed away in Lucknow. Richa had penned a heartfelt note for her which could be read as "Love at a dead-end is grief... RIP! Aunty, you left us yesterday... but you will always be around... I will always remember you as a lady ahead of her time... a voracious reader, feminist and cupcake lover. I promise to take care of your son... hope you find your peace... And I miss you already!
