And the recent pictures of Alia Bhatt with Ranbir Kapoor, and his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor are winning hearts all over social media. We all know that Rishi Kapoor is currently in the USA undergoing treatment due to some medical issue, and that’s where Alia Bhatt decided to spend time her would-be-in-laws. Take a look:
Ever since the veteran actor has been in the US, he has had quite a few visitors including, Sonali Bendre, Priyanka Chopra and Anupam Kher. Nobody knows the exact medical condition Rishi ji is under but earlier reports suggested that he is battling stage three cancer. Dismissing such baseless rumours, his brother Randhir Kapoor recently said, “We don't know yet what is the exact nature of his ailment. Rishi himself doesn't know what he's suffering from. He has not even started undergoing tests there; how can people speculate that he has cancer and that too, one that has escalated to advanced stage”.
He further added, “Let him undergo tests peacefully; whatever the results, we will let everyone know. He only reached America two-three days ago and so far, he was being prepared for the tests that he has to undergo. Depending on what the results are, his line of treatment, medication and other modalities will be decided upon. It’s not fair to speculate things just like that”.
Now, coming back to Alia and Ranbir, we all know that they are dating ever since Ayan Mukerji’s film, Brahmastra went on the floors. A source revealed to a media portal recently, “Alia is in a great phase of her life right now. She is in love and they both are sure of each other. Recently, even Rishi Kapoor confirmed his son’s relationship with Alia and was quoted as saying in a media interaction, “It’s Ranbir’s life. Who he wants to get married to is his prerogative. Neetu likes her, I like her, Ranbir likes her. Get it? I can’t be judgmental. After all, my uncles Shammiji and Shashiji and I chose our life partners. Ranbir is entitled to choose his”.
In a similar interview earlier, Rishi ji had said, “It is high time he got married. I settled down when I was 27, Ranbir is 35. So he should think about marriage. He can marry anyone of his choice; we don't have any objection to it. I want to spend time with my grandchildren before I am gone.” He had further shared, “[Be it] Ranbir or his contemporaries, actors have blinkers on and are focused on their work. The only women they meet are the actresses. They don't socialise as much; that is the flipside of life in the movies”.
Also, when Alia’s father, Mahesh Bhatt was asked about her daughter, he shared, “I have never spoken about my children’s private lives. They are adults and it is their prerogative. I would never demean and belittle them by talking about it in public. It’s their right and if they want to talk about it or to remain silent about it; it’s their choice.
