The ‘it’ couple of tinsel town, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are all over the news these days. Open any media or entertainment portal, and the Brahmastra co-actors are present in the headlines. Reason? They’re dating, and their recent pictures prove that Alia and Ranbir are head-over-heels in love with each other. Last weekend, on June 10, 2018, Alia Bhatt went on a dinner date with Ranbir Kapoor and his family, also accompanied by Ranbir’s niece, Samaira. They all went to a five-star high-end eatery in Bandra, Mumbai. And guess what? Alia was spotted outside the place holding not Ranbir’s hand but his little niece, Samaira's. And their twinning and tuning looked really adorable. While Alia wore a white dress, cute Samaira donned a white frock with silver sneakers and looked like a little princess. Ranbir was seen following behind them accompanied by his aunt, Rima Jain. Take a look:
Well, it seems that the Kapoor family has taken an immense liking to Alia and has perhaps already considered her ‘as their own’. In fact, recently Alia shared a photo with her furry pet cat named Edward Bhatt, and Ranbir’s mom, Neetu Kapoor commented, ‘awww’ followed by a love-struck emoji. In response, Alia replied with tagging Neetu Kapoor along with a series of emoticons.
To add more to the speculations and rejoice of Alia-Ranbir fans, Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni recently gifted Alia a bracelet. To acknowledge her supposed-and-would-be sister-in-law’s gesture, Alia took to Instagram to share a story, thanking Riddhima for her sweetness.
In a GQ interview a couple of weeks ago, Ranbir confirmed that he is dating Alia Bhatt. He was quoted as saying, “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is- what’s the right word- flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself”. He further opened up about his feelings of falling in love again, “It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again- you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple years back”.
Speaking of falling in love again, it must be noted here that Ranbir has dated many girls in his life, including a few Bollywood actresses. Among them, the one who stands out because of the then eventual uproar and storm post her break up with Ranbir is Deepika Padukone. And a recent report in Pinkvilla suggests that Deepika already knew about Ranbir and Alia. A source close to the actor revealed, “RK and Deepika continue to be close friends, and keep each other's secrets. He told her about it and she was very happy for him and Alia. It's rare to find such friendship between exes”.
Raazi actress, Alia has always been vocal about her crush on Ranbir. On Koffee with Karan once, she recounted an incident in which Karan Johar made a call to Ranbir and asked Alia to speak to him over the phone. Alia revealed, “I remember the first time I spoke to Ranbir. You (Karan) called him up when Rockstar just released and you said, 'Here, talk to Ranbir. Tell him how much you love him'. And I spoke so much rubbish. I was just talking non-stop, and he was like, 'Yeah, that's very nice, Alia””.
During the IIFA conference in Delhi last month, when Ranbir was asked to comment on Alia’s huge crush on him, the Sanju actor said, “Well, I have a boy crush on her now”.
