However, destiny had some other plans for the couple, and they decided to part ways. Afterwards, if reports are to be believed, then the actor has found love once again with Made in Heaven fame actress, Sobhita Dhulipala. And now, his reaction to her new look in her upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan, caught our attention.
For the unversed, it was in 2017, when Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu tied the knot. And just a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary, they had shocked their massive fanbase with the news of their separation. Taking to their respective IG handles on October 2, 2021, they had issued an official statement to announce the same. Their statement could be read as:
"To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."

Now, in September 2022, Sobhita Dhulipala shared a few glimpses from her upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam. She shared the poster of her namesake and revealed her magnificent look from the same. Sobhita has been introduced as 'Vanathi' in the film which will hit the theatres on September 30, 2022. Indeed, she looked simply drool-worthy. And it was her alleged boyfriend, Naga Chaitanya's reaction that caught our attention. He was seen indirectly showing his love and support for her by reacting to her IG posts. Check it out:
Earlier, in a conversation with the YouTuber, Siddharth Kannan, Naga Chaitanya had opened up about his relationship status. He was also asked about the dating rumours with Sobhita Dhulipala, and whether those reports are true. To this, the actor gave a cryptic response. However, he didn't reply with a clear 'no'. Instead, he started blushing, and stated:
"I'm just going to smile."

After Chaitanya's separation from Samantha, both the ex-duo moved on in their respective lives. And as per a report of Pinkvilla in June 2022, the actor is dating Sobhita Dhulapila. It was also reported that the two are very comfortable in each other's company. Talking about the same, a source close to the couple had said:
"Chay and Sobhita seemed very comfortable in each other's company as they spent time at the actor's new house. Naga Chaitanya was giving her a tour of his massive home. After a few hours, they left together in the same car."
