Amrita, once again has been grabbing a lot of limelight, thanks to her latest film, Thackeray’s screenings and promotions. The actress will be seen playing the role of Meena Thackeray (Bal Thackeray’s wife) and reel-life wifey to Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Speaking about her role in the film, Amrita shared in an interview with indianexpress.com, “To be honest, it was like an honour for me (to play the character). I have earned the image. I had a lot of choices and films coming from big banners. It is very attractive for anyone to work with big actors and banners. I have but on-screen demands are changing, and I had to decide if I want to stick to my comfort or continue.”

The world went in for a momentary frenzy when Anmol posted a tweet that contained a picture of Amrita and himself, which he captioned as, “Interview that started 7 years back, continues…only to get stronger 2day!#JustMarried @AmritaRao. Have you noticed the aforementioned caption? “Interview that started 7 years back” it said and as truly as it sounds, Anmol had taken Amrita’s interview for one of her films, only to realise that he had fallen for her. Speaking about their relationship in a throwback interview with IANS, the Vivah star had stated, “It's been seven years of a blissful relationship and I'm the luckiest to find a soulmate in my life partner. We had a very small (wedding) ceremony with our immediate family members only.”
Not just this, Amrita and Anmol had also issued a joint statement with Hindustan Times, announcing the news of their marriage. The same could be read as, “We have always been private about our personal life. This relationship was sacred to the both of us from the moment it began. Making your relationship public can help you be in constant news, but we wanted only our work to do the talking. Marriage is a very personal affair and we thought of keeping it like that. We wanted to announce it at the right time, and we did!"
Quite like their dating spree, the couple had also kept their wedding as hush-hush as possible.
