Anurag Kashyap is arguably one of the best directors in Bollywood, who reflects the evils of society through his dark films. Some of Kashyap’s cult movies, that have made a mark in the entertainment industry are Gangs Of Wasseypur Franchise, Dev.D, Lust Stories, Ugly, Black Friday, Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai etc. Now, the director has once again grabbed the headlines for making a bold remark about a female celebrity, Taapsee Pannu.
Talking about Anurag’s personal life, he was earlier married to acclaimed film editor, Aarti Bajaj. They had met in college and dated for nine years before tying the knot. The couple, who got divorced in 2009, has an 18-year daughter named Aaliyah. After separating from Aarti, Anurag fell in love with the actress, Kalki Koechlin during the shooting of the movie, Dev D. Anurag and Kalki were in a live-in relationship for quite some time and decided to get married in 2011. However, in 2015, they announced their divorce.

In a recent interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Anurag Kashyap was promoting his upcoming film, Dobaaraa with the lead actress, Taapase Pannu. During the conversation, he opened up about Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot, which he had done for Paper magazine, spiking controversy all over the nation. Anurag took a dig at his own body type and revealed that his self-confidence was tarnished after seeing Ranveer’s naked photographs. In his words:
“Tabahi to machai usne. Not only he broke the internet he broke my self-confidence. How will I find it back? Hindustan mein har mard isi baat se pareshaan hoke Ranveer Singh pe attack kar raha hai (Every man in India is frustrated due to this reason which is why they are attacking Ranveer Singh.”
Further in the interview, when Siddharth encouraged Anurag Kashyap to do a similar naked shoot, Taapsee Pannu said that a "horror show" was about to be brewing. To which, Anurag joked that Taapsee is insecure about him as he has bigger boobs than her. He stated:
“Ye waise hi darti hai (She is insecure). She has a complex by me because I have bigger boobs than her."

On August 16, 2022, Anurag Kashyap had taken to his Instagram handle and shared a picture with his ex-wives, Aarti Bajaj and Kalki Koechlin. The picture was doing rounds all over the internet, and the filmmaker was receiving a lot of love for having such a concrete bond with both of his ex-wives. Along with this picture, Anurag Kashyap had penned a caption, and it could be read as:
"My Two Pillar."
