Married and divorced twice, Anurag Kashyap had found love for the third time but that chapter ended too. Here's how he reacted to a troll mocking his unsuccessful marriages.

Gone are the days when to know what celebs are up to, we had to wait for the newspapers or magazine interviews. Now, all we need is to click on their social media profile and get the updates. But like everything has pros and cons, social media and fame too, comes with a price. After writing a televisions series, Kabhie Kabhie in 1997, Anurag Kashyap had gained the fame with Ram Gopal Varma's Satya, in which he was the co-writer. Over his more than two-decade long career, Anurag has given some realistic pieces of cinema. With some iconic films in his kitty, Anurag stepped in the web platform too, and keeps his audience on the edge of their seat while watching his work. Anurag believes in taking the viewers to understand the true roots and question certain aspects of the society. On the personal front, Anurag has thrice been unlucky in love and now, his focus remains on his work and daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap.

Married and divorced to film editor, Aarti Bajaj and actress, Kalki Koechlin, Anurag Kashyap had found love for the third time in an assistant director, Sabrina Khan. But this chapter too in his love book came to an end. His unsuccessful love life was questioned by a troll on Twitter, to which, Anurag has hit back with a befitting reply. When a user tweeted, “Ek biwi nahi sambhli, chale hai gyaan baatne" Anura replied, “Auraton ko sambhalna nahi padta, woh khud ko sambhal sakti hai aur tumko aur tumhare khandaan ko bhi. Jab nahi jama, woh chali gayi. Ghulam nahi thi kisi ki, ki main baandh ke rakhta. Baaki aapka mahaul theek hai na."

During his early days in Mumbai, Anurag Kashyap had met notable Bollywood film editor, Aarti Bajaj and had fallen for her before making his mark in the industry. Aarti and Anurag were in a live-in relationship and had embraced parenthood in 2001 with a daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap. Aarti and Anurag had tied the knot in 2003 but four years into marriage, their relationship had hit the rocks. The couple had separated in 2007 and as per the reports, it was Anurag's depression due to the tough phase in his career that had become the reason behind his issues with Aarti. During the filming of Dev.D, Anurag Kashyap had lost his heart to modern Chandramukhi, Kalki Koechlin. Anurag was madly-in-love with Kalki when he had asked her out and soon, the lovebirds had moved in together. After two years of live-in relationship, Anurag and Kalki had taken their relationship to the next level and had tied the knot in 2011 in an intimate wedding ceremony. After six years of knowing each other and four years of marriage, Kalki and Anurag were granted divorce in 2015.

On a Film Companion show, Tape Cast on YouTube, Anurag Kashyap was asked, “Have the two failed marriages led you to become a better person?” To which, he had retorted, “I don't think I was a bad man. Yeah well, I learnt so much more…marriage is a lot of commitment. I think in marriages you have to make an effort to make it work. I wish everything was organic that you know two people come together and works out but yeah it's a lot of work… it's also scary I don't know. What's the question? Have the two marriages failed marriages helped you become a better person?”

Speaking of what he has learnt from the failure of his relationships, Anurag Kashyap had continued, “I think I've become yes. I've become more understanding more tolerant. I take and give more space. I know that when you're dealing with whole lot of things outside, you don't have to bring it home. You learn from every failure. I have understood the importance of taking holidays… yeah importance of exercising, importance to stay healthy, eat right… everything doesn't have to be cinema. I think about it...
