After a wait of nine months, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli had welcomed a baby girl into their lives on January 11, 2021. The star parents have named their little princess as Vamika, which is an amalgamation of their names. It’s been one year since Vamika’s birth but Virat and Anushka have managed to hide her face from their fans and keep her privacy intact. The star parents hosted a grand birthday party as Vamika turned one and now, we got hold of a picture of Anushka with her baby girl from the celebration.
For the unversed, on January 11, 2021, Virat Kohli had taken to his Instagram handle to share a picture of a note, announcing Vamika’s birth. It could be read as:
"We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat."

A while back, Anushka Sharma shared a couple of pictures on her IG stories and deleted them soon after. In one of the stories, Anushka shared a picture with her baby girl, Vamika from her first birthday party as the mommy-daughter duo twinned in white outfits. In the candid picture, Anushka can be seen holding Vamika in her arms as they shared an adorable moment with each other. The place can be seen decorated with balloons. While Anushka deleted the picture immediately, her fan pages were quick to take a screenshot of the same. Sharing the picture, atop it, Anushka wrote:
“My baby girl.”
It was on February 1, 2021, when Anushka Sharma had surprised everyone by posting the first-ever family picture with their then-newborn daughter on her IG handle. Introducing her daughter to the world, Anushka had announced her name, and had written:
“We have lived together with love, presence and gratitude as a way of life but this little one, Vamika has taken it to a whole new level! Tears, laughter, worry, bliss - emotions that have been experienced in a span of minutes sometimes! Sleep is elusive but our hearts are SO full. Thanking you all for your wishes, prayers and good energy.”

On the occasion of Women's Day, Virat Kohli had shared a picture of the two most important women in his life, Anushka Sharma and his daughter, Vamika Sharma Kohli. Alongside it, he had written a long note recalling Vamika’s birth. It could be read as:
"Seeing the birth of a child is the most spine chilling, unbelievable and amazing experience a human being can have. After witnessing that, you understand the true strength and divinity of women and why God created life inside them. It's because they are way stronger than us men. It's because they are way stronger than us men. Happy Women's Day to the most fiercely, compassionate and strong woman of my life and to the one who's going to grow up to be like her mother. And also a Happy Women’s Day to all the amazing women of the world."
