One of his closest friends, Apurva Agnihotri posted a picture with him to wish his late friend a happy birthday. Along with it, he wrote down a heartwarming note for his late buddy and it’s hard not to shed a tear while reading it.
On April 23, 2020, Apurva Agnihotri took to his Instagram handle and posted a beautiful picture with his late friend, Kushal Punjabi on his birthday. In the picture, we can see Apurva wearing a helmet and ready to take-off on his motorbike, while Kushal can be seen posing with his cute wide smile to the camera. Along with the memorable picture, Apurva posted a heartfelt note as he recalls the kind of person he was. He wrote, “I stood and watched as my brother rode by it wasn’t the way it should be But I shed not a tear for this brother for he lived free and loved his life So ride on my brother till we meet again and when my time comes to take that last ride you can bet it’ll be with a smile...till then enjoy your special day Happy Birthday Dear Kushal Bhai...Miss ya” followed by some red heart emoticons. It’s unfortunate to realise that Kushal isn’t with us anymore, but we do have his beautiful memories in our mind, and they’ll be with us till the end of time for sure. The talented actor, Kushal had won the TV reality game show, Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout and had also featured in a lot of Bollywood films like Lakshya, Salaam-e-Ishq, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal. However, his fame took a giant leap with television shows like Kasam Se, Sssshhh... Phir Koi Hai, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat and many others. There was no doubt in his talent as he was a dancer, model and actor.
Well, sometimes success and fame aren’t enough to give you a sense of peace and happiness. And just like any other normal day, the nation woke up but with the heartbreaking news of his sudden demise in the morning of December 27, 2019. Kushal was found dead in his Mumbai home and the cause of death was suicide. His whole family was in pieces and friends were in utter-shock to realise the reality that their friend is gone forever and they’ll never be able to see him again.
For the uninitiated, Kushal Punjabi had tied the knot with his long-term European girlfriend, Audrey Dolhen in November 2015 in a private ceremony in Goa. And, the couple was blessed with a son on April 5, 2016, whom they named Kian. Just when everyone thought that Kushal’s life has been settled now and from now onwards he will go on to taste the peace of happy married life. Everything fell apart when Kushal was found hanging in his home and just a few hours before his demise, he had posted an all-smiling picture of his son, Kian as his Instagram story.
