Sure, the show had played Cupid for Indraneil and Barkha as it marked the beginning of their friendship and planted the seed of love in their hearts. Sharing two ‘truly, madly and deeply in love’ black-and-white pictures with Indraneil, Barkha wrote, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY @indraneilsengupta I still remember meeting this man who wouldn’t even smile at me... always on his own, wouldn’t talk much... till we started talking... and we talked endlessly and it was magical... And then he smiled... the rest as they say is history! HAPPY BIRTHDAY @indraneilsengupta u make my life so very beautiful! I love u so very much! You’re the one constant I always always want in my life! P.s. how are u not ageing???” On her post, Indraneil commented, “And I am still smiling! @barkhasengupta” followed by a heart emoticon.

For instance, to mark her twelfth wedding anniversary with Indraneil Sengupta, Barkha had posted an array of black-and-white pictures with her better-half, and had captioned it, “I might be the better half, but I’m still just half without you! Happy 12th anniversary love! A few days back, Indraneil Sengupta had posted a silhouette of Barkha Sengupta, posing with her back facing the camera as she had stood in her balcony. Dressed in a black lacy mini-dress, Barkha had made heads turn with the hotness level of the picture. While Indraneil had captioned it as “Neighbours’ envy, owner’s pride @barkhasengupta”, it didn’t go well with her fans as he was slammed for the patriarchal caption. One of the Instagram users had commented, “Was looking for the leash on her neck from the owner...Intellectual captions are rare, definitely onida had it... sadly not all does!” Replying to the comment, Indraneil had written, “Hahaha I knew the ‘owner’ would draw some flak, but it’s just a fun use of the popular line.”
Reacting on being trolled for objectifying his wife, Barkha Sengupta, Indraneil Sengupta in an interview with the Hindustan Times had said, “The caption which I had put, was in fact, suggested by Barkha herself. She is the woman in the picture and she sees the humour in it. She does that many a times. I click pictures and she is witty with captions. So, it’s all fun.” Agreeing that social media has become a toxic place, Indraneil revealed that he and Barkha don’t take it seriously and maintain their distance from trolls. Indraneil had continued, “One can deal with it. There are negatives and positives of social media and you decide how much impact they can have on you. If tomorrow social media shuts down, and you ask what will happen to us — nothing will happen to Barkha and me.
