A year and a half ago, no one knew that the famous big fat weddings of India will be a distant dream. The COVID-19 pandemic not only masked the smiles of millions and billions, but it had also ruined many plans. And tying the knot in a grand way looks like a non-achievable goal. However, this doesn't lower the spirit of the couples getting married. In fact, they are finding new ways to make their wedding a memorable affair.
In India, whenever we talk about a bride, the first image, which flashes in our mind is of a young girl donning a red lehenga, all set to create her 'sapno waali life'. Nowadays, brides have revamped this image, as they are trying every trend on their minds for their big day. While some opt for pastel ensembles, there are some, who wear unique colours and whatnot. However, our bride of the week had taken a 360-degree turn and had tied the knot in a saree.

Meet our bride of the week, Tanushree Gupta, who is an entrepreneur, and runs her own business. The gorgeousness had tied the knot with the love of her life, Pulkit Singla in an intimate wedding. We loved her amazing wedding pictures, which were beautifully captured by PhotoDote. However, it was the story behind her bridal ensemble that won our hearts.
The bride had wished to get married wearing a peach-coloured lehenga from the designer, Rimple and Harpreet. However, the pandemic had banned the big fat Indian weddings, and the bride had decided that there was no use in wearing a heavy ensemble in a 100-people gathering. And that's how she had decided to don a Sabyasachi Mukherjee's red saree.
In one of her Instagram posts, Tanushree had written, "I was hell-bent on this peach rimple and harpreet lehenga almost one year before my wedding, when it was going to be a 1000 people wedding. But then the pandemic struck in march and it became evident by june, that we won't be having more than a 100 people wedding."
The bride had concluded her note by sharing, "Anyways it would have felt ridiculous to wear such an elaborate outfit with 100 closed ones. I decided to wear a saree. And if it was going to be a saree, it was going to be RED for sure!" Well, that's the effect of a Sabyasachi's ensemble, and every girl knows that it is not a simple piece of clothing but a lifetime treasure.
The bride had worn a pretty red Sabyasachi saree with golden floral embroidery. She had styled it with a matching dupatta with golden embroidery over it. The bride had accentuated her look with a four-layered polki neckpiece, a nath, a mathapatti and a pair of earrings. Subtle makeup and soft smokey eyes had completed her wedding look.

For her engagement, the bride had picked a pastel pink gown with silver floral embroidery. She had added more charm to her look with a minimalistic neckpiece. Dewy sheen makeup had completed her look. On the other hand, her groom had donned a black tuxedo.
