Falling in love and marrying them make life a blissful journey but lucky are the ones, who find love for the second time. And one such lucky person is actress, Dia Mirza, who had gotten a second chance in the matters of heart. Dia was earlier married to Sahil Sangha but in 2019, the couple had announced their mutual separation in a joint statement. After parting ways with Sahil, Dia had found love in a Mumbai-based businessman, Vaibhav Rekhi. Rumours about Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi, who is the founder of Piramal Fund Management Pvt Ltd., were doing the rounds a few days ago. On February 15, 2021, Dia and Vaibhav had taken their wedding vows. For the wedding, Dia had looked gorgeous in a red Banarasi saree with gold jewellery, green bangles and gajra. On the other hand, Vaibhav had complemented her in a white kurta-pyjama with a matching Nehru jacket. One look at Dia and Vaibhav from their wedding had made our hearts skip a beat.
On February 19, 2021, Dia Mirza had made her first appearance post-wedding. Dia looked stunning in a blue-coloured kurta and white-coloured skirt as was papped at Mumbai airport. A few hours back, Dia took to her IG stories and shared a picture of herself from the airport lounge. It was her beautiful mangalsutra that caught our attention. Ditching the regular gold mangalsutra, Dia opted for silver with the signature black beads and a white stone in the middle. Atop the picture, she wrote, “All set to start a new story. Chalo Dilli.”
A day after the marriage, Dia Mirza delighted her fans with official wedding pictures. Sharing the breathtakingly beautiful pictures from her wedding, Dia had written, “Love is a full-circle that we call home. And what a miracle it is to hear its knock, open the door and be found by it. Sharing this moment of completion and joy with you..my extended family. Vaibhav was earlier married to a popular yoga instructor, Sunaina Rekhi and has a daughter from his first marriage. Now, Sunaina had opened up on Vaibhav and Dia’s wedding. In a series of Instagram stories, Sunaina had posted a video, congratulating the happy couple. She had said, "Yes, my ex-husband has gotten married to Dia (Mirza). I have been getting a lot of DMs and WhatsApp to ask if I am okay if everything is okay if I and Samaira are fine. First, I want to say thank you for feeling like I am your own, and for your concerns."
Sunaina had further expressed her happiness on her daughter being part of the special occasion and had said, "We are perfectly fine. Not just fine, my daughter is very excited. I saw some videos where I saw she was throwing flowers. And it's a really nice extension for her. We don't have any family in Mumbai and it's nice she has more family. It is always nice to have more extension in your family."
Once in a throwback interview with the Filmfare, Dia Mirza had spoken about what she had learnt so far with her relationships. Dia had said, “That you can never know what’s going to happen. You feel and experience something and the next moment you’ll be wondering this wasn’t expected. Fact is, when you fall in love, you aren’t privy to many things about your spouse. There’s always a surprise coming your way. It’s more about how you accept them.” When asked if she would go for love over lust, Dia had retorted, “They’re both important. You need to lust after your partner because love can only take you that far.
