The entire nation woke up with the shocking news of veteran actor, Dilip Kumar's demise on July 7, 2021. The legendary actor had passed away at the age of 98 and has left a huge void in the hearts of everyone. Dilip Kumar had been facing a regular health issue for months. He had taken his last breath at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital.
Dilip Kumar's friend, Faisal Farooqui, had taken to his Twitter handle and had announced the news of his demise. His tweet can be read as "With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God, and to Him, we return. - Faisal Farooqui."

Just a few seconds ago, Dilip Kumar's last rites proceedings began. The mortal remains of the legendary superstar have been wrapped in Indian tricolour. The actor was laid to rest with full honour at Juhu qabrastan around 4:30 in the afternoon. Check it out below:
Last month, Saira Banu had talked about her husband's health in an interview with India TV. She had said that the veteran actor had been admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. He was facing breathing issues.
On June 7, 2021, Saira Banu had shared a picture with Dilip Kumar from the hospital room. In the picture, Dilip Kumar seemed in a lot of pain and Saira was seen comforting him. In another tweet, Saira had shared a note and had revealed that Dilip Kumar was getting better. Her note could be read as "Past few days, my beloved husband, Yousuf Khan, has been unwell and recuperating at a hospital in Mumbai. Through this note, I want to thank all of you for keeping him in your prayers and for all the love and affection."
Saira had further shared that her husband's health was getting better, "My husband, my Kohinoor, our Dilip Kumar Sahab’s health is stable, and doctors have assured me that he should be discharged soon. I urge you to not believe in rumours. While I ask you to pray for Sahab’s health, I am praying that the Almighty keep all of you safe and healthy during this pandemic. Sincerely, Saira Banu Khan."
