Esha Deol Reusing Her Heavily Embroidered Red Wedding Dupatta For A Shoot Proves Its Timeless Charm

Before the wedding when you’re picking your bridal outfit, are you also confused and a bit stressed out about what you will do with the heavily-embroidered ensemble later? Honestly, every bride struggles with this thought as her wedding outfit is too heavy and jazzy to be used other than her own marriage. But some brides have created a trend by reusing their bridal outfits with charm and proved that their ensembles are an example of timeless beauty. Be it Genelia Deshmukh repeating her Sabyasachi bridal lehenga for her brother’s wedding or Samantha Akkineni reusing her wedding saree for Venkatesh Daggubati's daughter, Ashritha Daggubati’s marriage in 2019, the celeb brides have stolen our hearts in their bridal outfits just like the first time at their wedding. Adding to the list is Esha Deol Takhtani, who reused her wedding dupatta for a shoot. (Also Read: When Esha Deol Met Her Step-Mom, Parkash Kaur For First Time At Her Father, Dharmendra's Family Home)

It was on June 29, 2012, when Esha Deol had added Takhtani to her name after she had walked down the aisle and exchanged wedding vows with the love of her life, Bharat Takhtani. It’s been close to nine years now since Bharat and Esha became husband and wife, and it was on their 8th wedding anniversary that she had posted some unseen pictures from the ceremony. To wish Bharat on their 8th anniversary, Esha had posted a picture from their wedding rituals and had written, "This day many years ago... my forever, my love, together for keeps together for eternity! Love u my BeeTee God bless @bharattakhtani3." On her IG story, Esha had posted a picture with her cousin, Abhay Deol performing the wedding rituals and her parents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra standing by her side.

Esha Deol Takhtani had remarried her husband, Bharat Takhtani in 2017 when she was pregnant with their first child. To mark her baby shower ceremony in 2017, Esha and Bharat had renewed their wedding vows and remarried at the ISKCON Temple in Mumbai. According to Sindhi tradition, the godh bharai ceremony had included Esha and Bharat tying the knot again but instead of the ritual of seven pheras, they had taken just three. For Esha’s remarriage and baby shower look, her wedding outfit designer, Neeta Lulla had created a Vrindavan-inspired asymmetrical anarkali(Also Read: Esha Deol's Unseen Childhood Picture With Dharmendra, Looked Adorable Enjoying A Piggyback Ride)

Speaking in detail about Esha Deol Takhtani’s baby shower and remarriage outfit, the designer, Neeta Lulla was quoted as saying by the IANS, "Esha's outfit will be crafted with gota, zardosi and sequin embroidery paired perfectly with a sharara with multi gores which would enable her to walk around freely and make her feel comfortable. Esha particularly wanted a hint of the Radharani colours from the medieval Vrindavan, hence the colour pink to express the power of love and compassion."

Back when Esha Deol Takhtani was pregnant with her first child and she was prepping up for her re-marriage with Bharat Takhtani, she was asked what she recalls of the rituals from five years ago. In an interview with the Pune Mirror, Esha said that being half South Indian, she had always wanted a South Indian wedding because of its kanyadaan ritual. She had said, “As a bride, I sat on my dad’s lap and after the kanyadaan, I moved to Bharat’s lap. So, the two most important men in my life were part of the ritual. It was rather emotional.” (Also Read: Esha Deol And Ahana Deol's Unseen Childhood Photoshoot Picture With Hema Malini And Dharmendra)
