One of the finest actresses of Bollywood, Rani Mukerji made her comeback after 4 years, with her film, Hichki. Rani has always openly talked about her marriage, motherhood and career. Rani took a sabbatical to give all her time and attention to her little munchkin, Adira. Rani has brilliantly managed her personal and work-life balance.
In an interview with the leading media portal, Hichki actress Rani revealed the one thing that her hubby Aditya Chopra and her daughter Adira doesn’t like about her. Rani said, "Now slowly we started to tell her that I used to go for shoot. So yesterday when I came back from promotions, she asked me, 'mama aap shooting pe gayi thi?' I said haan. Then she asked, "makeup nikaal diya?” She understands now. Because when she sees me without makeup, she feels very happy. Both her father (Aditya Chopra) and she always have this complain that I should never be in makeup. Even my husband, when I come back, he says, go first remove your makeup."
About how she managed to shoot for the film and spend time with her daughter, Hichki actress was quoted as saying, "I always take the slot of the afternoon because she sleeps at this time. So, I take the advantage and when she is sleeping, I kind of come, do my work and go back home. When I was shooting for the film also, I used to go early in the morning to shoot and five-six hours of work I used to finish in the morning and go back home before her lunchtime. Rani Mukerji has created her own niche in the industry with some remarkable performances that now her work speaks for her. Rani said that she doesn’t interfere in her director-husband, Aditya’s work. She stated, “I have been a very individualistic person. My achievements are my own and my husband’s, his own. I think he has single-handedly done what he has done. I have been part of his movies, I have contributed to his productions, but the company is his father’s, and it is his.” She was asked if she would work with other production house other than Yash Raj Production, she said, “If I get the same amount of freedom in another production house, I’d love to do it.”
Rani Mukerji said that her daughter will not be pressurised to join the industry and will grow and blossom in the field she wants to be in. Hichki actress proudly said that her husband is very supportive of her work and helps her understand her goals. She retorted, “He saw I was getting obsessed with my daughter.
