And to mark 33 years of AJSK, the famous designer duo has been posting their path-breaking statements from their journey from quite some time now, on their social media official handle. To commemorate the same, they hosted a fashion show in Mumbai on September 5, 2019, and needless to say, it was a star-studded and blockbuster event. From Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Abhishek Bachchan, Rhea Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Sussanne Khan, Gayatri Oberoi, Karan Johar amongst other stars as the front row guests to Deepika Padukone being the showstopper of the night, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s fashion show was a visual feast. But it was the three beauties, who made heads turn at the fashion show, with their sheer elegance and grace. We are talking about the women with fine taste, when it comes to fashion, Isha Ambani Piramal, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant.
The Ambani belles, Isha Ambani Piramal, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant, never fail to leave a mark with their ‘oh-so-gorgeous’ fashion statements and ace every look, be it traditional or western. For Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s fashion show, while Isha gave major style goals in an indo-western outfit, Radhika and Shloka looked like a vision in white. Isha stunned everyone in a black AJSK saree with heavy border, which she paired with an off-shoulder blouse. Isha draped her saree in a very different way and her look was accentuated with a poker straight hairdo and elegant makeup. Radhika and Shloka graced the show in an anarkali which they accessorised with heavy earrings and open tresses. They were also accompanied by Isha’s cousin, Isheta Salgaocar.
On August 21, 2019, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla had shared an unseen picture of Nita Ambani and Isha Ambani, in their royal avatars making heads turn in their ethnic best. The elaboration on their look could be read as “2007: Gota, a gift from Rajasthan! Gota is a woven metallic ribbon that is crafted with gold or silver wire thread and silk or cotton thread. It is made in Rajasthan and was formerly used mainly as borders and finishes and also as flowers and dots on many north Indian royal outfits. It has been a constant in Abu Sandeep's work over the years and they have kept reinventing its usage on fabric with much success. Nita’s ghagra is finished with a peacock Zardozi border, while Isha’s ensemble displays the radiance of a real gold Kuran lace border. Isha Ambani had tied the knot with Anand Piramal on December 12, 2018, and needless to say, their union had set the bar high for celebrity weddings. Post the wedding, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla had taken to their official Instagram handle and had revealed intricate details about Isha’s wedding ghagra and Nita ji’s ghagra for her daughter’s wedding. Posting an unseen picture of the mother-daughter duo, they had detailed the mother of the bride’s outfit, “AN ETERNAL ROMANCE. Nita Ambani wears a light beige georgette ghagra hand embroidered in the finest chikankari, mukaish and marodi work highlighted with crystals, tamba sequins and edged with fuchsia pink borders. A gold blouse is hand embroidered in the most intricate zardozi with crystals and a shoulder dupatta to match. A pink tulle head dupatta in sequins jaali with borders complete the ensemble.”
Elaborating on intricate details about bride, Isha Ambani’s ensemble, they had written, “AN ETERNAL ROMANCE. Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for Isha Ambani @_iiishmagish Isha Ambani wore a 16-panelled ghagra in 2 shades of off-white that features a trail. Each panel is hand embroidered. Mughal Jaalis and floral panels alternate in the finest zardozi, vasli, mukaish and nakshi work. Every flower or jaali is highlighted with Crystals and sequins. Red or vermilion the iconic bridal hue features in the zardozi borders, lending an auspiciousness to the ensemble.”
For her mehendi ceremony, Ambani’s badi bahu, Shloka Mehta had gracefully donned a pastel-hued hand-embroidered lehenga that she had teamed up with minimal diamond jewellery. Sharing her mehendi look for the first time ever, the designer duo had captioned it, “Love in Full Bloom! Shloka Mehta became a AJSK bride for her wedding with Akash Ambani in March 2019, and had maintained the stereotypical red and golden bridal colour in her lehenga. Shloka had dazzled in her super-happy bride look, donned in an all-red avatar and keeping her makeup minimal. The bride had wanted to divulge maximum attention to her exquisite wedding jewellery, which included a heavy kundan necklace, maatha patti, nath and traditional earrings.
