It was on May 24, 2019, when Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali had informed that their family of four will soon be completed with the arrival of their little one. Three months later, Jay and Mahhi had announced the arrival of their baby girl and had embraced parenthood once again. Before welcoming Tara Bhanushali in their lives, Jay and Mahhi were proud parents to two kids, Khushi and Rajveer, whom they had adopted in 2017. It seems like just yesterday when Jay and Mahhi had announced the birth of Tara and on August 3, 2020, the Vij-Bhanushali clan will be celebrating the little one's first birthday.
Ahead of Tara Bhanushali's first birthday, Jay Bhanushali, in an interview with Zoom Digital, revealed how his and his wife, Mahhi Vij's lives changed post welcoming their biological child. When asked, "What's the one thing that changed the most after the arrival of Tara?" Jay retorted, "What changed the most after Tara arrived was that Mahhi and I evolved and grew so much as parents and human beings, which was indeed a beautiful feeling." Jay had resumed work and in mid-July, he had started shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi: Made in India. Revealing how he is handling staying away from family, Jay said, "Being away from family to shoot is definitely tough, but it also relieves me while keeping in mind their own safety."
Since the pandemic had put everything on halt, resuming work after a longtime and staying away from family for a while keeping in mind their safety is a tough decision to make for the actors. In an IBTimes interview, when Jay Bhanushali was asked if Mahhi Vij was supportive of his decision to resume work, he has replied, "Yes, Mahhi was always supportive. It's difficult to sit at home and not do anything for four months because your bills, daily routine, shopping don't stop. Mahhi and I decided to take a call that one person has to be at home and the other person has to go out and start working so that we can at least run the house." Post the birth of Tara Bhanushali, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij had posted their first-ever family picture with Khushi and Rajveer too in the frame, looking lovely. For the photoshoot, while Mahhi had looked gorgeous in an orange gown, Jay, Khushi and Tara had twinned in white and little Rajveer had looked adorable in blue suspenders. Mahhi had thanked 2019 for giving her the best gift, her daughter Tara and had captioned the family picture as "2019 you have been the best year. You gave me the most special gift my Tara."
