From cat-fights to pulling each other’s legs and revealing one another’s deep secret, best friends surpass all levels to testimony to remain the same. Karan Johar and Kajol are one such pair of best buddies in the Hindi film industry.
Their cute bonding, both on and off-camera, needs no introduction, as people have witnessed the same uncountable number of times. What’s more is that whenever these two come together, they gel together like a laughing riot and never leave a chance to take a hilarious dig at each other.

Recently, Kajol attended an episode of the popular reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, which already has her best man, Karan Johar, as one of the judges. During a fun chit-chat round with the show host, Maniesh Paul, Karan revealed the name of the one person on whom Kajol had a huge crush on, apart from her husband. He mentioned:
“She had a big crush on Akshay Kumar.”

Kajol and Karan have been each other’s best friends for over three decades now, and there is absolutely nothing that they don’t know about one another. In an episode of the famous, The Kapil Sharma Show, Karan Johar had recalled the moment when he met Kajol for the first time during the premiere of the movie, Henna. Interestingly that, too, involved Kajol’s crazy fangirling for Akshay Kumar. In his words:
“Poorey premier mein woh Akshay Kumar ko dhoondh rahi thi aur main unka sahara ban gaya. Secretly, main bhi shayad Akshay Kumar ko dhoondh raha tha. Hum chal pade; Akshay Kumar toh nahin mile, hum ek doosre ko mil gaye.”
Despite being each other’s friends through thick and thin, there was a time when the besties had a severe fallout with one another. It was in the year 2016, when Karan Johar’s film, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ajay Devgn’s film, Shivaay, were released on the same day. It led not just to a massive clash at the box office but also made a crack to Karan’s long friendship with Kajol. In his autobiography, Karan Johar shared his true feelings about Kajol for that particular moment in his life and had written:
“I wouldn’t like to give her a piece of myself to her at all because she’s killed every bit of emotion, I had for her for 25 years. I don’t think she deserves me. I feel nothing for her anymore.”
