Malaika Arora Admits She Badly Wishes To Have A Daughter, Addresses Chances Of Adopting A Girl Child

Bollywood actress, Malaika Arora had tied the knot with actor-producer Arbaaz Khan on December 12, 1998. The duo had fallen in love with each other at a very young age, and it was after five long years of dating that Malaika and Arbaaz had decided to settle down together. The couple had welcomed their baby boy, Arhaan, in the year 2002. However, their married life had come to an end after their divorce on May 11, 2017.

A few weeks ago, Malaika Arora had appeared as a guest judge on the dance reality show, Super Dancer Chapter 4 and got overwhelmed after watching one of the show's contestants, Florina Gogoi's performance and had revealed her desire to have a daughter. Now, in a recent interview, the actress talked about the same and spilled more details about it.

In an interview with the ETimes, Malaika Arora was asked to reveal the emotions she had experienced after witnessing the little maestro, Florina Gogoi's dance performance, and it had touched her heart. Answering this, the actress explained that she's a mother and the way Florida had performed, particularly on that day, simply touched her heartstrings. She said, "For any mother, it's so beautifully overwhelming to be around kids. Florina tugged at my heartstrings. Her performance and the way she is struck a chord with me deep down."

Going further in her conversation, Malaika Arora stated that there were a lot of girls in her family during her childhood, but as for now, the whole clan is overtaken by the boys. However, the doting mommy clearly stated that she loves her son, Arhaan Khan, more than anything else in this world, but she also wishes to have a daughter. Malaika said, "I come from a family full of girls, and now, we all have boys, largely. So, I do miss having a girl child. I love my son Arhaan to the moon and back, but I wish I also had a daughter."

Coming back to Florida Gogoi's performance that had made Malaika Arora emotional on the sets of Super Dancer Chapter 4, the actress opened up about the things she had wished to do with her daughter and listening to her statement will surely melt your heart. She said, "That's a running sentiment in my heart. I have a girl sibling, and we're so typical in the sense that we'll share everything and watch each other's backs. The way Florina danced, it just made me so emotional that day; I wished I had a daughter whom I could dress up and do all those silly things with."

At the end of her conversation, Malaika Arora also revealed that she already had a discussion about adopting a child with her son, Arhaan Khan. She said, "I discuss a lot of things with my son Arhaan, like how we should adopt a child someday and give her a family and a home. We talk about everything, and this is one of the many zillion topics that we have chatted about." However, the actress confirmed that there are no adoption plans as of now. She added, "But there are no plans."
