The fallout between him and his ex-girlfriend and Bigg Boss 12 contestant, Srishty Rode is known to all. It is rightly said that one should see both sides of the coin and only then pass their judgement. Initially, everyone thought that it was Manish who broke up with Srishty because of her increasing closeness with co-contestant, Rohit Suchanti until recently when Manish had posted an open letter on social media, exposing her.
On June 7, 2019, almost six months after their breakup, Manish took to his official Instagram handle and shared a long open letter. He had captioned the post as, "It's ok to vent it out. I hope all your questions have been answered with this. #stop." In the long open letter, Manish had penned, "PICHLI BAAR PYAAR MEIN LIKHA THA IS BAAR HOSH MEIN LIKH RAHA HOON. My dear fans, supporters, and followers must be wondering about my silence about my personal life in the last few months and ow while reading this you must be curious why? So let me tell you- I decided to express my feelings about the anguish I have gone through openly today despite being expected to "man-up" and stay silent because even if some people think I am stupid to talk about it please don’t forget MEN-JUST LIKE WOMEN HAVE DEEP FEELINGS." Manish had further revealed it was Srishti who broke up with him over a phone call. Until then, everyone believed that Manish ditched her, but it was other way round. He had further written, "I have reached my tipping point today and I am tired of avoiding my families, friends and fans. I didn’t speak to you before about this because I was still unsure until recently about the status of my relationship with my partner. But what can I do? She hadn’t given me a proper closure after a 4-year relationship in which I involved her in every aspect of my life, family and my personal career. She had broken up with me over a phone call and when I had asked her if we could talk about it face to face, she replied saying, "I am at the peak of my career I don’t wish to be in this relationship anymore and as it is I am detached, what is left to talk about?" Now, Manish took to his official Instagram handle and chose to do a quick ‘Ask Me Anything’ session. It seems he has bagged so much love from his fans after pouring his heart out on Instagram as many of them were praising him during the session. One of his followers thanked him for sharing his story by writing, “Thanks for sharing your story with us. It helped me a lot in my healing.” To which he replied, “Thanks Aastha. Another user asked, “How to move on in life? When you are broken?” To this, Manish answered, “Stop saying and thinking like that. You are not broken, nobody can do that to you until you do it to yourself. Be busy with activities, work and life.” And then came a question which tried to target him for projecting his personal life on the internet. The user wrote, “Personal baatein Social media pe laake Kya chahte ho?” To which, he replied, “Main Chahta hu ki aap jo ho woh mere personal baaton pe dhyan na de, Main apne followers ko btana chahta tha esliye maine apna account pe apni baat kahi hai. After posting this on social media, SpotboyE got in touch with him, wherein he had poured his heart out. Talking about dealing with the breakup, he had retorted, "I was trying to figure out things and just couldn't digest with the way things unfolded so fast. Since the time the news of our break-up came out in media, I was being dumped with hate messages from her fans and social media users. It was extremely disturbing because I was made to look as if I am the culprit and the one who ended the relationship. It was getting too much and that's why I decided that I will not let this impression go out when she is the one who has walked out of the relationship. In spite of me being the victim, I am suffering and she is busy enjoying her life."
In the same interview, he had also revealed the reason behind writing an open letter on social media. Manish had stated, "My whole idea of posting the letter on social media was just to vent my feelings and convey the message to ones who think I am the reason for our break up. But in my post, I haven't defamed her as I had no intentions of mudslinging. Whatever I have written are facts." Further revealing about the reason behind the breakup, Manish had quipped, "Nothing went wrong as such. The moment she came out of Bigg Boss 12 house, within three days, she decided to call it quits. She told me that she is detached and doesn't want to be in a relationship now because everything is in her favour and working out in a positive way. And mind you, she spoke all of this over a phone call. I told her let's sit and talk but she said, "I am detached from you, what is left to talk about?"
And had further added, "It was immensely disturbing. That was the time when I was shooting for Udaan and I can't tell you how difficult it was for me to handle it. I have always stood by her, even when she was inside the house, everyone saw how I defended her always, in spite of not knowing what's exactly going on inside the show. She comes out of the house and casually breaks-ups. Then I see her holidaying and posting pictures with different guys. It was extremely painful. The reality show definitely played up on her mind. She started thinking 'I am this and I am that'. It happens with people who are overambitious. They tend to forget those who stood by them in crisis and move on easily. I guess same is the case here." Earlier, confirming their breakup to the same portal, Manish had told them, "Srishty and I are not together anymore. I don’t wish to give a reason because there is none in particular. All I can say is, minor disagreements and difference of opinion led to it. We were expecting different things from each other. Around three weeks ago, we realised that things were not working out as expected. So, we discussed the future of our relationship and decided that it was better to part ways. I have immense love and respect for Srishty and I will always cherish the time spent with her."
