On October 8, 2022, Mira Rajput Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and reshared a picture collage posted by her husband, Shahid Kapoor's fanpage. The photo collage showed multiple pictures of Shahid mixing and DJing at his home and parties. All the throwback pictures of the actor bought back some golden memories of the time when Shahid used to share glimpses from his mixing sessions at home. While sharing the photo collage, the doting wife also asked his massive fanbase whether they would like to see Shahid reignite his inner DJ all over again or not. Atop the picture, Mira wrote:
"Don't you think he should start mixing again."
While everyone is aware of the undeniable fact that Shahid Kapoor is an exceptional actor, only a few are aware of his craze for music. It will be hard for people to digest, but there was a time when Shahid used to spend hours mixing and DJing at home. The actor has dedicated a separate room for keeping his DJ equipments, where he used to mix and learn the craft of playing with the music console. Once a source close to the Hindustan Times shared details about Shahid's passion for mixing and had shared how he used to play DJ at his friends' parties. Opening up about the same, the source could be quoted by saying:
"He has been playing DJ at some of his friend's parties, but now he is keen to do it in a thorough manner. Shahid has stationed the console in his living room. These days, he spends all his free time mixing music and trying several variations. Before getting his console, Shahid extensively read about the equipment and the software. He was planning to buy it for a while, but his work commitments delayed it."

Going further in the Hindustan Times report, the source close to the publication also shared that Shahid Kapoor had also met a series of renowned international DJs and had also learnt a lot from them. Apart from keeping track of the latest tracks in the music industry, Shahid also used to study a lot about the ongoing taste of the general public when it comes to grooving to music at parties. The source added that the actor was rightly invested in Djing and mixing with his heart and soul. Talking about the same, the source had stated:
"On one of his recent vacations, Shahid met various international DJs and chatted with them about new songs, music genres, festivals etc. He often connects with people and talks to them about music. He is always on the lookout for new songs and has downloaded many music apps to stay updated about international sound tracks."
