The summer of 2000 had started the love story of Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar as they had met for the first time for a movie and by the end of their film, the two had fallen in love with each other. The couple had tied the knot on February 10, 2005, and had welcomed their first child, Gautam Krishna in 2006. Later, in 2012, Namrata and Mahesh were blessed with a baby girl, Sitara.

Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar dote on their almost nine-year-old daughter, Sitara. On January 8, 2021, Namrata had shared a candid picture of her daughter, Sitara on her IG handle and had talked about how precious her daughter’s smile is for her. Sitara was seen dressed in a noodle-strap, multi-coloured dress, looking beautiful. Namrata had captioned the picture as “My world stops when she smiles #love#daughters.”
Since lockdown 2020, Namrata has been sharing throwback videos of her Rockstar daughter, Sitara on her IG handle. Continuing the same, Namrata shared a throwback video of Sitara, singing a nursery rhyme. While the baby girl looked adorable, it was her room that caught our attention. With the wall paints of Spiderman, cartoon and princess, a section of her room designated for her Barbie set and books and games placed here and there, the room spoke about Sitara’s vibrant personality.
Sitara is the jaan of her parents, Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu and the two had expressed their love for her on International Girl Child Day. On October 11, 2020, Namrata had expressed how proud she is of Sitara and had written, “Girls symbolise strength, courage, determination, sacrifice, love and commitment. Give them wings to achieve their dreams!! Empowering them is empowering your future! Let’s create an equal world for our daughters to grow! Be proud of your girl child!! I’m more than proud of mine.”

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu had expressed his proud feelings for Sitara and had written, “There is no greater gift than a girl child! Proud of my little one, who's trying to create her own little world on her terms. Let your dreams not be ignored, let your voice be heard. Be strong. Fight for what's rightfully yours!! We will make this an equal world! Celebrating my little girl and all the little girls of this world #InternationalGirlChildDay.”
The lockdown 2020 had blessed Sitara’s fans with some unseen videos of her as her mommy had restlessly shared them on her IG handle. On April 20, 2020, Namrata had shared a video of Sitara, where she could be seen singing a song on a flight. She had captioned the video as “One for each day.memory therapy once a performer always a performer #stayhome #staysafe.”
April 14, 2020, was no different as Namrata had shared another adorable video of her daughter, Sitara, where she was seen singing along with the song playing on the stereo in the car. Namrata had written, “Extended lockdown!! Difficult but more than required!! The only way forward!! This may bring a smile make u happy!! As it did for me.. her sense of rhythm never ceased to amaze me even then one for each day !! #stayhome #quarentine” in her caption.
