The South Indian superstar and his wife, Namrata Shirodkar are the 'IT' couple in the entertainment industry. The munch-in-love never fails to mesmerise everyone with their adorable chemistry. For the unversed, the duo first met on the sets of their film, Vamsi and eventually fell in love with each other. And finally, Namrata and Mahesh Babu took their relationship to a notch higher and got married on February 10, 2005. Moreover, the lovebirds are proud parents of two beautiful kids, Sitara Ghattamaneni and Gautam Ghattamaneni. The popular actress has now bid adieu to the film industry, and recently she opened up about the same.
In an interview with a Telugu YouTube channel, Prema – the journalist, Namrata Shirodkar opened up about her acting career. Talking about the same, the actress revealed that she was never interested in modelling. However, she got into it to fulfil her mother's wish. Namrata also shed light on why she quit acting after marrying the superstar, Mahesh Babu. The former actress stated that her husband always wanted a non-working wife. Elaborating more on it, she mentioned that even if she was working in any office, Mahesh would have expected her to leave her job. In her words:
"Mahesh was very clear that he wanted a non-working wife. Even if I was working in some office, he would have told me to leave work. There are certain things we had for each other."

In the same conversation, Namrata also revealed that she and Mahesh were clear about certain things before getting married. The former actress mentioned that she had also put a condition before Mahesh that she would not live in a bungalow if she moved to Hyderabad after their marriage. Talking about the same, Namrata stated that she didn't have the habit of living in the huge house, so she had asked Mahesh to shift into an apartment. Namrata even mentioned that they both were clear about what they expect from each other after their marriage and said:
"We were very clear that we will live in an apartment first after marriage because I was from Mumbai, and I didn't know how I would fit into these huge bungalows. I used to get scared so he moved into an apartment with me. That was my condition that if I'm going to come to Hyderabad, I will live in an apartment. Similarly, he was also clear that he didn't want me to work. Which is why we also took some time so that I finish shooting for all my films. When we got married, I had no work, so I wrapped up all my pending movies. We were clear. There was a lot of clarity among us."
Further in the conversation, Namrata also opened up about her married life with her hubby, Mahesh Babu. Talking about the same, the actress said that marrying Mahesh was the happiest moment of her life. She even mentioned that her decision to take her relationship with Mahesh ahead changed her whole world. Namrata further stated that the whole experience and feeling of being married to the man of her dreams is great.

In the same conversation, Namrata also talked about her motherhood journey. She mentioned that being a mother is such a good feeling that she would not change that for anything. For the unversed, it was on August 31, 2006, when the much-in-love couple embraced parenthood after the birth of their son, Gautam. However, it was in 2012 when their family got completed after the couple welcomed their baby girl, Sitara.
For those who don't know, Namratra Shirodkar was one of the most beautiful actresses of her generation. She has worked in some amazing films like, Vaastav: The Reality, Anji, Pukar, Hero Hindustani, Aaghaaz and many more. The actress last appeared on the big screen in the film, Insaaf: The Justice in 2004.
