Granddaughter of veteran actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda is a Fordham University graduate and had co-founded a healthcare portal, Aara Health. As Navya hails from the star family of the B-town, fans had eagerly waited for an announcement from the Bachchan clan regarding her Bollywood debut. But to everyone’s disappointment, her mother, Shweta Bachchan Nanda had revealed that she doesn’t want her daughter to join showbiz, on Koffee With Karan Season 6. Even Navya had clarified in an interaction with Vogue India that she is not interested in making a career in Bollywood. It was in May 2020 when Navya Naveli Nanda had graduated from Fordham University and the Bachchan family had made her online convocation special by together cheering for her and making a DIY gown and hat for the ceremony. In the same month, Navya had launched her healthcare platform, Aara Health and it was a proud moment for the Bachchan clan. According to its website, “Aara Health aims to bridge India’s healthcare gender gap by building a secure, non-judgmental, and trustworthy virtual healthcare platform for women.” When Navya had launched her platform, her mama, Abhishek Bachchan and alleged beau, Meezan had congratulated her.
As Navya Naveli Nanda turned 23 on December 6, 2020, and to make her feel special, her mamu, Abhishek Bachchan, brother, Agastya Nanda and alleged beau, Meezan wished her with beautiful pictures. Sharing a happy picture of the birthday girl, Abhishek wrote, "Happy birthday beautiful" followed by the hashtag #Favourite atop his IG story. Agastya posted a throwback picture with Navya as they posed together and wrote, "Happy Birthday @navyananda" atop the IG story. Meezan posted the same picture as Abhishek’s and wrote, "Happy Birthday" with a black heart emoji atop it.
Jaaved Jaaferi’s son, Meezaan is rumoured to be dating Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Meezaan had cleared the air regarding his relationship status and was quoted as saying, “We are from the same friends’ circle, she’s my sister’s bestie and a really good friend. I’m not in a relationship with anyone.” Meezaan is referring to his sister Alaviaa Jaaferi, who is one of Navya's closest friends and Navya is spotted on Alaviaa's Instagram posts. During the promotion of his film, Malaal, Meezan had spoken about the dating rumours with Navya Naveli Nanda and had said, "Why will I admit it when there is no relationship? There is no relationship, okay? We're friends. Friends ka bhi ek relationship hota hai. It's not a boyfriend-girlfriend dating relationship. Just cause we get papped outside the theatre leaving with friends, by the way, that doesn't mean, 'Oh, we're dating!'." In another media interaction, Meezan had said, "We used to study together in New York and the photograph that went viral showed us going for a movie. I had covered my face because I did not want social media exposure at that time. In fact, I don't want to be in the news for my personal life. I believe that social media should be used selectively. I am currently single and am only focussing on my work."
To congratulate his niece, Navya Naveli Nanda on her graduation, Abhishek Bachchan had posted a smiling picture of her, dressed up in her convocation OOTD. Abhishek had written, “Congratulations my Navya on your graduation! Although due to the lockdown you were not able to celebrate it at your university with your classmates and the home garden had to suffice... Seems like yesterday that we were moving you into your dorm room as a freshman... Wait, strike that. Not "we", "I"!! (You always managed to make Mamu do the heavy lifting). God bless you!
