After being in a relationship for quite some time, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have finally hopped on the journey of being a married couple. Just like their love story, their wedding was also a unique one. The couple had opted for an intimate wedding ceremony. They had also organised meals for the 18,000 children and 1 lakh people in Tamil Nadu. The couple had always stayed away from the media limelight and they made sure to keep the biggest day of their life away from the paparazzi.
For the unversed, Nayanthara had first met Vignesh on the sets of the 2015 Tamil film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Their first association together had created a strong bond between them and it was developed into a strong connection. Soon, they had fallen in love and painted the town red with their mushy PDAs. In 2017, Nayanthara and Vignesh had announced their relationship in public at an award show in Singapore.

After tying the knot, Vignesh took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture from their wedding. In the first picture, we can see him tying mangalutra on his bride. In Tamil, the mangalsutra is called thaali and it is not the one with the usual black beads, but rather it is made in gold. The bride, Nayanthara looked the prettiest donning the red saree. She accessorised her look with layers of emerald jewellery. Check it out:
Sharing another picture, we can see Nayanthara's fun side as she tried to sway away from her groom, Vignesh, who was trying to put a garland on her. Alongside it, Vignesh announced he had tied the knot and it is start of bigger, beautiful and crazy love story. He wrote:
"Am Married! Just the Beginning of a bigger, stronger, crazy love story with you my #Thangamey! Love you #Thangamey #Kanmani Kadambari and now my wife."
In another post, the groom, Vignesh shared a full picture of his look with folded hands. He wore a beige-coloured bandhgala kurta with dhoti and a matching shawl. Along with it, he expressed his gratitude to the Universe and both the families. He wrote:
"Blessed. Thanking the universe. And our parents."

In the last post, Vignesh posted a picture of his beautiful bride, Nayanthara. The gorgeousness donned a red-hued handcrafted saree designed by JADE. The tone on tone embroidery is inspired by the carvings of the temples of Hoysala. And it is a thoughtful tribute to the bride's love for tradition. The ensemble is also personalised with the couple's name on it with the fourth wedding vow. Along with it, Vignesh penned a cutesy note, which can be read as:
"From Nayan mam, to Kadambari to Thangamey to my baby.. and then my Uyir, and also my Kanmani. And now, My Wife."
