Neetu Kapoor And Ranbir Kapoor Host Prayer Meet For Legendary Actor, Rishi Kapoor

There are dates in our lives that shake us and change us completely as a being. One such date was April 30, 2020, when our favourite star, Rishi Kapoor had left us forever. It came as one of the most shocking news when we had seen it on our television screens. Rishi Kapoor had taught the meaning of love in the 70s and 80s with his charm and romantic smile. Even in his second innings, the actor remained the 'hero' of every hit film. We have loved him as a young boy when he had debuted in his father's film, even when he had played an adorable grandpa's role and then as a grumpy kid. (Recommend Read: Mahhi Vij Shares A Cute Picture Of Her Little Doll, Tara, Recalls How She Added Colours To Her Life)

Rishi ji had given a tough fight to cancer for the past two years. But on a regular morning amidst the lockdown in the entire nation, the actor had left us with no goodbyes, and sadly, his fans couldn't even attend his last rites. But everyone tried paying their last tribute to the legendary actor, who had always spoken from his heart and never sugarcoated his opinions. He had always expressed his real thoughts, whether it was in front of the media or in front of his mobile screen. And it is sad to know that we will never be able to witness his bitter-sweet words on Twitter.

On May 3, 2020, Rishi Kapoor's wife, Neetu Kapoor and son, Ranbir Kapoor hosted a prayer meet at their home. A picture of the same has surfaced on the internet. In the picture, we can see Ranbir with his mother, Neetu, who is still trying to cope up with the biggest loss of her life. Take a look at it below:

For those who don't know, Rishi Kapoor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni was not able to attend her father's last rites as she was in Delhi. On May 3, 2020, she finally arrived in Mumbai with her daughter, Samara. She had travelled from New Delhi to Mumbai via road because there were no flights flying due to the nationwide lockdown. (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan Gets A Haircut From 'Abba', Saif Ali Khan Amidst Lockdown, Looks Cute As A Button)

After Rishi Kapoor's demise, his wife, Neetu Kapoor had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a heartbreaking note on the behalf of her family that could be read as "Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45 am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last. He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him. He was grateful for the love of his fans that poured in from the world over."

Her note further read, "In his passing, they would all understand that he would like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears. In this hour of personal loss, we also recognise the world is going through a very difficult and troubled time. There are numerous restrictions around movement and gathering in public. We would like to request all his fans and well-wishers and friends of the family to please respect the laws that are in force. He would not have it any other way." (Don't Miss: Archana Puran Singh's Mother And Husband, Parmeet Sethi Make Fun Of Her, Call Her 'Video Wala')
