No Filter Neha host, Neha Dhupia is on cloud nine these days and why not she be as she has welcomed her little version a few days back. For the ones who have been living under the rocks all this while, Neha Dhupia got married to actor and her best friend, Angad Bedi in a hush-hush ceremony on May 10, 2018. It was a pleasant surprise for us as the couple had kept their relationship successfully under the wraps all throughout.
On November 18, 2018, Neha and Angad became parents to a baby girl, whom they lovingly named, Mehr Dhupia Bedi. Mehr was born to the couple at around 11 am in the morning at Women’s Hospital, Khar. On November 20, 2018, Angad posted an update on Twitter about his girls, which can be read as, “The last two days have been very overwhelming. @NehaDhupia and me have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Thank you all for your wishes and love that is coming our way. It’s just a few days that Neha has delivered the little angel, Mehr and she is back at work. We are highly impressed with this! Well, the newbie mommy Neha herself shared a mirror selfie with the flashlights of her vanity box on, whilst her hairstylist is curling her hair. It seems that the shoot is taking place at her home as the merchandises of a baby store with congratulatory messages can be seen in the backdrop. The doting parents Neha and Angad shared the first ever glimpse of the little angel. The picture had Mehr’s feet wearing socks on which it was written, “Hello world”. Giving us a complete look of the little cutie Mehr, the baby’s grandpa Bishan Singh Bedi took to his official Twitter account and wrote, "U Little Beauty MEHR..another Lifeline for Grandparents...Both Maternal & Paternal..Aren’t we Blessed?!! On November 22, 2018, mommy dear Neha Dhupia took to her official Twitter account and thanked everyone for the blessings. Neha wrote, “Our hearts are filled with joy as we Thank you all for all the love that has poured in for our little girl. I just whispered in her ear that everyone says welcome to the world and she smiled back. She sends you all lots of love”.
Initially, the couple and their families denied Neha Dhupia’s pregnancy rumours that did the rounds because of her sudden wedding. Rubbishing the rumours of his wife’s pregnancy, Angad had then stated, “If someone wants to say something, I am not here to comment on anybody's statement. Everybody has a right to their opinion, I feel whenever we want to make anything public, we will as a couple- whether it's our personal front or professional work- whatever we want to share, we will willingly come forward and do that”.
Revealing the reason why they hid the pregnancy, Neha shared with Mid-Day, “I was worried people would stop offering work. It was a good thing my bump wasn’t showing till the sixth month because appearances matter here, and one might be assumed to be unfit for a job. Fortunately, my energy levels are high”. In an interview earlier, Angad was all-praises for his wife Neha and told Hindustan Times, “I feel very proud when I see her do so well. She has done some great work in cinema and made a name for her. She is an accomplished woman and I treasure it because she gives me a great perspective on life. She has kept her relationship with people intact. It’s easier said than done but to be a liked person by all is not easy. And Neha does it so effortlessly.”
