Very few people are lucky to get married to their best friends and actress, Neha Dhupia is one of them as she had found her soulmate in her best friend, Angad Bedi. One of the most loved couple of the glamour world, Angad and Neha look perfect with each other. The duo had kept their relationship under the wraps and when the pictures of their intimate Anand Karaj had surfaced on the internet, their fans had gotten the sweetest surprise. When the entire world was busy with Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi had straightaway posted pictures from their wedding ceremony on May 10, 2018. Although the two had known each other for quite some time, Neha gives the credit to Karan Johar for bringing them together. Looking at their strong bond, it was Karan, who had screamed at a party, “Can you not see this? Are you blind?” After six months of their wedding, Neha and Angad had welcomed their baby girl, Mehr.
Recently, in a video, posted on social media, Neha talked about her wedding with Angad and how it had invited a lot of judgments. Speaking about how she and Angad were just friends and never dated for a long time, Neha said, “People normally date for a long time before getting married, right? But in my case, it was very different. Angad and I were just friends and I didn't expect him to propose so spontaneously. Ek din woh mere ghar aaya and he asked my parents if he could marry me. My parents were like, 'You do you and we are here to support you’.”
Neha further shared how people judged and commented on her hush-hush wedding with Angad and revealed, “We had a low-key wedding two days later and that was an invitation for a lot of judgment. 'Ladki ne late shaadi ki na (Oh, the girl got married so late)?' In a chat with Humans of Bombay, Neha had shared how she and Angad had met and how they had become best friends. She had stated, “He tells me that he 1st saw me at the gym when I was 20 & told his friends, ‘I’m going to get to know her 1 day. When we moved to Bombay, we met at a mutual friend’s party–it was just us standing in the balcony. I saw a different side of him–beyond the jokes & wit, there was a sensitive man. We were both away from home in Mumbai, so I always relied on him for support. He lived a bachelor life & the 1 place he could always get home food was mine. We became close friends–there was no façade & no attempt to impress one another. Well, no attempts on my part! In fact, he was the 1st call after a major heartbreak & he talked me through it–I’m sure there was a hidden motive!”
Angad Bedi is quite active on social media and loves interacting with his fans. A few months back, Angad had hosted a fun 'Ask Me Anything' session with his fans on his IG handle and had answered a lot of questions related to his life and family. A user had asked Angad, “Want to know about secret behind ur happy married life? Neha, u & Meher are favourite ones” followed by a heart emoticon. Angad had given a hilarious reply and sharing a picture with Neha, he had written, “EK CHUP… SAU (100) SUKH” followed by laughing emoticons atop it.
