Neha and her husband, Angad Bedi welcomed their little angel, Mehr Dhupia Bedi on November 18, 2018, and the entire world celebrated with them. In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Neha had talked about the journey, and had shared, “The journey has been absolutely amazing. It’s been different. Getting married, becoming a mom. Becoming a parent, I think, more than anything else. And continuing to work is something that keeps my plate full and I'm very, very excited about it.”
While Neha’s hush-hush wedding and then the baby announcement came as a shock to her fans, we are even more shocked to see her balance out her personal and professional life with ace. Recently, in an interview with the DNA, Neha had revealed how her daughter had already travelled 15 cities. She shared, “My daughter has already travelled to 15 cities already, nine of which were by road! And she has not troubled me at all. Neha further credited her husband, Angad, for being a hands-on daddy, and stated “My husband is so co-operative. You need a secure man to stand by you at all times. We have had to pull double shifts looking after Mehr and work.”
Neha, whose first priority has always been her work, had talked about the sudden changes and embracing motherhood in an interaction with the IANS. She had said, “It's a huge accomplishment and so rewarding. Just to wake up next to two people who you cannot believe you love so selflessly... I was always this person who thought 'I am the most important person in my life', my work is important, family is important, and they are important because they make me happy.”
She had further added, “And then suddenly you have this, which is infinitely more important than you are in your own eyes. It's so hard to describe it. I would never have understood this if I hadn't become a mom. I feel like I have come here to mentor the participants with not just the (Miss India) crown that I won in 2002, but also with two more crowns... It's three crowns on my head right now.”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Angad had also opened up about his daughter’s arrival, and had shared, “I feel that Mehr Dhupia Bedi is my biggest achievement and I take full pride in being called her father. She has got the DNA of both me and Neha and I believe she is going to be a hardworking individual. She already has a strong mindset of her own, She has got strong likes and dislikes. We have got two nurses to take care. She has a fondness for one and complete disliking for the another. She is growing up and she is already 4.5 kgs. She is pulling height really fast. Neha is 5.9 and I am 6.1, we will definitely have a tall Mehr. My everything reloves around her and she has brought me a lot of luck.
