Right from his debut movie, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, action-thriller Dum Maro Dum, social drama Aarakshan to his latest film, Mulk in the role of Shahid Mohammed, this handsome hunk of Bollywood has proved his acting talent in the showbiz province. The mention is of none other than Raj Babbar and Smita Patil’s son, Prateik Babbar. He already has the big banner films, Chhichhore, Brahmastra, Yaaram and Darbar dagger in his kitty. As much as his professional life seems to be sorted, he is high on his personal life as well.
For the ones who don’t know, Prateik Babbar had tied the knot with Sanya Sagar on January 23, 2019, after seeing each other for a couple of years. It is to be noted here that Sanya is the daughter of BSP leader, Pawan Sagar. Prateik and Sanya have known each other for a decade but had started courting only two years back in around 2017. Today, the two are living their happily ever after journey and are currently enjoying their romantic getaway. Prateik and Sanya are enjoying their Los Angeles vacay these days and the two have been updating their Instagram handles with lovely pictures. It seems that the two have been hit with love Cupid and are all about kisses and selfies during the trip. From Prateik posting some solo pictures of Sanya on his account to the two indulging in some passionate kisses, the lovebirds are on a PDA spree for sure. Talking about his engagement with Mumbai Mirror, Prateik had earlier said "Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds clichéd, but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in my life." Also, revealing about his wedding plans, he was once quoted as saying, “But we want to enjoy this courtship period for a year or two; Sanya will shuttle between Mumbai and Lucknow. We haven’t thought about the wedding yet, but if I had my way, I would love a beach wedding or a simple temple wedding.”
It is also to be mentioned here that Prateik was earlier in a relationship with Amy Jackson, who is now pregnant with her boyfriend, George Panayiotou. After Prateik and Amy’s breakup, the two haven’t really stayed in touch. The 2.0 actress herself was quoted as saying, "We haven't been in touch at all. It's not that I can't be friends with an ex. I don't think it's impossible to remain friends. But we have never spoken after that (the break-up)."
On the other hand, Prateik had revealed that he was in a severe depression post this heartbreak and also shared that he had taken drugs. In the actor’s own words, “I didn’t know what to do with myself after I broke up with Amy. It left a void in my life. I am not so good with heartbreak. In an interaction with the Mid-Day, he was then quoted as saying, “Today, I have been clean of drugs for one year. I can't be grateful enough for today. My priorities are redefined. If I were to lose someone dear, or get replaced in a project, my sobriety could fall apart. It's upon me to hold it together. Thinking about how I will manage to stay sober for the rest of my life is daunting, but staying sober, just for today, doesn't seem so bad.”
Nonetheless, Prateik and Sanya make for a lovely couple together, and we wish them a lifetime of togetherness!
