One such Bollywood celeb who is soon to get hitched is Prateik Babbar. We all know that he comes from a family of veteran actors. His mother is the yesteryear acclaimed actress, Smita Patil and his father is the superstar actor, Raj Babbar. Now, the news is that the 31-year-old eligible bachelor, who is best remembered for his roles in Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na and critically acclaimed, Dhobi Ghaat, will soon be engaged.
As per the sources in a leading media portal, Prateik will get engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Sanya Sagar. Sanya is a budding writer and has known Prateik for eight long years! They started dating each other in 2017.

Now, the report suggests that Prateik and Sanya will get engaged on January 22, 2018, in a close-knit affair in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. A source close to the actor remarked:
“The engagement will be a close-knit affair. Their families are tight-lipped about it, as Prateik wants to go a little easy and stay away from the limelight unless it’s work-related. While they have decided to get engaged in Lucknow, the date is subject to change as families are yet to finalise a few things.”
Wow! That’s such a wonderful news, isn’t it? For those of you do not know, Prateik was earlier dating Amy Jackson, his co-star from Ekk Deewana Tha. But later they split up, and Prateik went into depression. He admitted about his feelings post break-up on-record:
“I didn’t know what to do with myself after I broke up with Amy. It left a void in my life. I am not so good with heartbreak…I was scared of not being in a relationship.”

He further added:
“I let failure get to me, and I was confused whether I should be an actor. In eight years whatever I had done had not worked, while other actors were doing well. I stopped listening to scripts as I was very depressed. I loved the people around me and I loved going on the sets, but I isolated myself from everything. My fears took over me.”

Well, that’s past and it seems Prateik has moved past his depression phase. We’re so happy to hear his engagement news, and may he and Sanya always remain together and happy.
