There is nothing more beautiful than being in love! Remember when our desi girl turned NYC chic, Priyanka Chopra announced her wedding to the American singing sensation, Nick Jonas, the world celebrated with her. While we still haven’t gotten over her wedding pictures, there is another Chopra wedding around the corner.
Yes, we are talking about Priyanka’s baby brother, Siddharth Chopra, who will soon be tying knot with Ishita Kumar. On February 27, 2019, the roka ceremony was organised and Priyanka shared the pictures of the same on her Instagram handle. She also welcomed Ishita Kumar to the Chopra family and wrote, “So proud of my baby brother. Ishita welcome to the family.. you r so beautiful together.. I wish you both the best for the funnier! Priyanka landed in Delhi to attend the roka ceremony along with husband, Nick Jonas. She also posted a picture with him on her Instagram handle, and captioned it as, "Best travel buddy ever..hello Delhi.. so good to be back." Check out the picture below:
For those who don’t know, Priyanka’s brother, Siddharth was in a serious relationship with long-time girlfriend, Kanika Mathur and they were supposed to get married in February 2015. But God had different plans and the couple parted ways just before the wedding. However, a source close to the family had said, “Siddharth wants to concentrate on his career and his new venture (a pub-lounge in Pune). Pushing it ahead was a big decision for both the families. Priyanka is also not in the country at the moment and the wedding cannot take place without her.”
Priyanka, who is currently juggling her life from NYC to India, makes sure to take her time out for the family. In a throwback interview with Hindustan Times, Priyanka had talked about her relationship with brother, Siddharth and had stated had said, “We have grown up squabbling and fighting as most siblings do. He is the younger one technically, and so, I did my duty as the older sibling, and bullied him mercilessly. But no matter what I did, he would be there for me, with a smile on his face and love in his eyes. I think the strength of the bond that we share is tremendous. A lot is unsaid between us, but we know that no matter what, we’ll always be there for each other. We used to do a lot of masti (fun). I was the ‘general in command’, and Siddharth was my willing sidekick.”
Priyanka had further talked about their relationship while they were growing up, and had stated, “I bullied him a lot, but I made sure he knew that no matter what, I would always have his back. He had the freedom to be himself, because I was there to protect him.”
Priyanka and Nick’s wedding in 2018 was nothing less than a fairytale. In an interview with People magazine, the actress shared details about her wedding, and had said, “It was all tears. All tears. I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life.”
