Sushmita Sen, who had embraced the crown for Femina Miss India and Miss Universe at the tender age of 18, has always been ahead of her time. Whether it was adopting her daughter, Renee Sen way back in 2000, and being a single mother or dating her boyfriend, Rohman Shawl, who is fifteen years younger than her, the actress has never cared about the norms of society.

Sushmita Sen is quite active on her Instagram handle. Whether it is enjoying the company of her daughters and spending time with them or spending some quality time with her boyfriend, Rohman Shawl, the actress' posts are capable of sending the internet into a massive meltdown. Sushmita, who is a single mother to Renee and Alisah, had found the love of her life in model, Rohman Shawl. However, it was most important for her that her daughters accept her boyfriend.
In a recent interview with ETimes, Renee opened up on the equation that she shares with her momma, Sushmita Sen's boyfriend, whom she calls 'Rohman uncle'. She also shared how the family of four spends their time together. She said, "We all might be in the same room and doing different things like Alisah might be reading and I might be doing something else. There are times when Rohman uncle shares his experiences with us, we have discussions with Alisah, we talk about things happening around us."
She also stated that the family shares a fun equation and they share a happy space with Sushmita's boyfriend, Rohman Shawl. Moreover, Renee and Rohman have bonded well on their love for food. She added, "We all have a fun equation. It's all relaxed and happy. We try out new cuisines and new restaurants together. We are all in a happy space, more than anything."

In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, Renee had shared how Rohman's opinion on her performance in her debut film, Suttabaazi, mattered a lot to her because he doesn't say much. She had said, "Rohman uncle won't say much, but when he says, it really means a lot, He was really happy as well with my performance."
On January 4, 2021, Renee had taken to her IG handle to wish Rohman Shawl on his birthday. She had dropped a selfie with him and penned a heart-melting note along with it. Her caption could be read as "Happy birthday Rohman Uncle. May this year bring you good health and lots of happiness!!! Thank you for being YOU! An avalanche of love from me to you."
