And Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s sister, Rhea Kapoor is one such lucky woman, who will be spending her life with her best friend and first love, Karan Boolani. The Boss lady of Bollywood, Rhea Kapoor is known for calling a spade a spade. She has never minced her words and has always been open about her relationship status with beau, Karan Boolani. At Sonam’s wedding, Rhea had confirmed her relationship with Karan and after some days papa Kapoor, Anil Kapoor had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a complete family picture with the caption, “A happy Sunday with the only humans that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Celebrating yet another beautiful love story!” With Karan present in the family picture, it was quite clear that he is an integral part of the Kapoor clan.
On September 29, 2020, Rhea took to her IG handle and shared few adorable throwback pictures with Karan. In the pictures the love birds looked happy as they spent quality time with each other amidst work. Along with the pictures, Rhea wrote, “Side by side since 2009. #thatsmybestfriend.” Since, Rhea and Karan looked unrecognisable in the pictures, it was her brother, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor’s comment that was unmissable. On Rhea and Karan’s throwback pictures, Harsh Varrdhan wrote, “Loads of calories consumed.”
On March 5, 2020, when Rhea had turned a year older, Karan had posted the most adorable wish for his ladylove. He had taken to his IG handle and had shared some lovely pictures from the memory lane. Along with the pictures, he had penned a cute note which could be read as “Happy birthday... thank you for putting up with me too #partytime #pizzatime.” On October 6, 2019, Rhea Kapoor had taken to her Instagram handle and had wished Karan Boolani on his birthday by sharing some of their unseen pictures. She had captioned the pictures with a birthday wish and had worded it as “Thanks for putting up with me @karanboolani. happy birthday, #happybirthdayboo." In early 2019, a Bollywood Hungama report had quoted a source throwing some light on Karan Boolani’s relationship with Rhea Kapoor and her family. Revealing that marriage would just be a formality for Karan and Rhea as he is already a part of the Kapoor clan, the source had said, “Karan Rhea seemed in no mood to solemnize her relationship. Anil is not the kind of father who pressurizes his children for anything. Since Rhea wanted to take her time, Sonam got married first. Anil has already accepted Karan as part of his family. He is as close to Karan as he is to Sonam’s husband Anand. Marriage would be just a formality but one that Anil is looking forward to.”
It was the first time in an interview with Zoom TV that Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had confirmed her sister, Rhea Kapoor’s relationship with Karan Boolani. When Sonam was asked to comment on the wedding rumours of Rhea and Karan, she had said, “Oh, no. When she does get married, I'll be very happy to tell you. They've been dating for 10 years, they've not gotten married yet. When the happy news is there, it'll all be announced.
