If you have had a hard time trying your luck in love or if you and your partner couldn’t manifest love in your relationship, inspite the both of you trying really hard to make it work, don’t worry, for ‘love’ has something else in store for you! Millions of hearts were shattered when grapevine was abuzz that one of the most loved couples of the telly town, Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat were parting ways, until they confirmed the rumours. A Hindustan Times report contained the official statement that Ridhi and Raqesh released, pertaining to their separation, “Yes, we are living separately. This decision has been taken with mutual respect and care for each other and our families. We are two best friends who may not be a couple anymore. But our friendship will continue as it always has, through thick and thin. Appreciate if no further speculation is made and heartfelt gratitude to everyone for all the love you have always given us.”
But giving the world some major, #MaintainingRelationships goals, now estranged couple, Ridhi and Raqesh were seen chilling with their friends from the industry, Sanaya Irani, her hubby, Mohit Sehgal and a few other people. A fan page carried a video of the same, where the words, ‘Back to base night routine’, were written atop the video. Here’s a video of the same:
Ridhi and Raqesh have separated after almost 8 years of marital bond. On account of Valentine’s Day today (February 14, 2019), the Woh Apna Sa actress took to her Instagram stories and posted a few interesting accounts of love, faith and moving on. It is hard to believe how life can drastically change in a year’s time! On last year’s Valentine’s Day (2018), Raqesh took to Instagram and posting an adorable picture from their fun scooty ride, the Tum Bin actor had stated, “Love doesn't make the world go round. It just makes the ride worthwhile. In a throwback interview, Raqesh had spoken about friendship, between the foundation for their love. He had shared, “We are great buddies off-screen; I think friendship is the basic foundation of our relationship. Initially, there was no courtship happening, it’s slowly when I realised it. I used to talk about Ridhi with my sister, she said you are of a marriageable age and you have to get married someday so why don’t you talk to Ridhi. I said are you mad or what? But then I understood she was right. We took a step ahead and finally we got married when we thought it was the right time to take to the next step of life. It was a straight wedding without engagement."
Sometime last year (2018), Ridhi had shared that she and Raqesh would not like to have any children. Quoting the reason, the actress had shared, “Fortunately, we both have very understanding parents and families. They definitely want us to have children and we know that if we ever have one they'll be elated and will make the world’s best grandparents but they let us be and respect our space and thoughts. Like you know it is because of practical reasons, we'll have to leave the city to raise a child in the ideal surrounding. I see parents running and running because they have children. And what kind of world are children coming into anyway. So we thought maybe we'll adopt a child and give him a better future.”
In yet another throwback interview, Raqesh had shared how he had propsed to his then lady-love, Ridhi, “Ours was the classic case of 'we were meant to be together', both of us individually didn't want to get married. Everyone had given up on me and him in our families. When we met on Maryada we ourselves felt an instant ease and comfort with each other. Our first scene was an intimate scene on a bed, and we broke the bed! We laughed it off and became really good friends, more like buddies. Even the proposal was a conversation, it just seemed like it's happening to us and we are flowing with it. We really believe god wanted us to be together.
