Sania Mirza’s gorgeous baby sister and fashion designer, Anam Mirza had tied the knot with her now estranged husband, Akbar Rasheed, in November 2016, only to be divorced last year, 2018. After almost two years of marital bliss, Anam and Akbar had decided for splitsville in 2018, but there has been no official statement from the Mirza family. A Pinkvilla report had then quoted a source as saying, "The reason for the split is still unknown but we believe the divorce proceedings have come through. Meanwhile, Anam continues to focus on being the stylist for her sister and running her fashion outlet."
Soon things moved steadfastly for Anam Mirza and this time it looks like the Cupid has pulled the right string of love in her life. What looks like from their social media profiles and the media reports, Anam is dating Mohammad Asaduddin, son of Mohammad Azharuddin (once Indian team's cricket captain). Sania Mirza along with her son, Izhaan Mirza Malik and sister, Anam Mirza has been vacationing in London where her husband, Shoaib Malik is playing his World Cup 2019 matches. And Anam’s alleged beau, Asad had also joined the Mirza clan on their holiday. It all started when on February 24, 2019, i.e., on Anam Mirza’s birthday, her beau, Asad had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a beautiful picture along with a wish for her. The same could be read as, “Happy birthday to the most amazing person in my life.” And amidst such much-in-love pictures on social media, rumours mills churned about ‘something more than just friendship’ between Anam and Asad (something that is quite evident in the pictures). Also, it was reported that Anam and Asad are headed towards a wedding which will take place this year itself, in 2019, but no such confirmation has been given from them or their respective families about the same.
Giving you a flashback on Anam Mirza’s first marriage, proposal and split; she had a star-studded sangeet ceremony followed by a Bollywood style mehendi function, before her wedding with Akbar Rasheed. Anam and Akbar had said ‘Qubool Hai’ on November 18, 2016, at the magnificent Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. Sania Mirza had taken to her Instagram when her baby sister got married and had shared a lovely twinning picture with the caption, “My baby is a married woman now, but will always remain my baby sister I love you @anammirzaak .. you made for the most beautiful bride in the whole wide world.”
Speaking about the proposal moment with her now ex-hubby, Akbar Rasheed, Anam Mirza had stated earlier, “I always had a very movie-like marriage proposal in mind. So, here I was waiting for a filmi proposal from Akbar, while our engagement invitations were already sent out. Of course our families had discussed that we are getting engaged and all, but I was left wondering 'Arey abhi tak Akbar ne mujhe woh movie wala proposal kyun nahin diya!' nd I was definitely not expecting a proposal after the invites were out!”
Akbar Rasheed had further confessed, “I knew Anam is very filmi so I planned this grand proposal at Falaknuma Palace on August 27, after our engagement was announced by our family. We came on a chariot, red carpet was rolled out for her, there were roses and all of that. Also, I got a tiara for her. And then, I went down on my knees and asked her 'Will you marry me?' as the violins played in the background.
