The ace tennis player, Sania Mirza and her cricketer-husband, Shoaib Malik's relationship has hit a rough patch. Since last few months, rumours of their separation have been making rounds on the internet. However, Sania and Shoaib have not yet confirmed or denied it. It is also being stated that Sania is not living with Shoaib and they are only co-parenting their son, Izhaan.
For those who don't know, Sania and Shoaib tied the knot on April 12, 2010. After eight years of marriage, the couple embraced parenthood with the arrival of their son on October 30, 2018. The couple has named their baby, Izhaan Mirza Malik. Sania had once revealed that they had added Mirza and Malik to their son's name because they want him to take forward the name of the 'Mirza family' too.

On November 23, 2022, Sania Mirza shared an IG story on her Instagram handle. The post hinted at her life's new beginning. The cryptic note also gave an indication that all is not well between Sania and Shoaib, and they are planning to start a new phase of their life without each other. The post can be read as:
"And the morning light is a message from Allah. Telling you that you still have a chance for new beginnings."
On November 12, 2022, the OTT platform, UrduFlix announced Shoaib and Sania's show, The Mirza Malik Show. Sharing a poster of the show, the post revealed that the reality show would be released soon. In the poster, we could see Sania putting her hand on Shoaib's shoulder. A window showed the Burj Khalia in the background.
