For the uninitiated, Sanjay Kapoor had got married to Maheep Sandhu in 1997. After some years of their marriage, on November 03, 1999, the much-in-love couple had embraced parenthood for the first time with the birth of their first baby, Shanaya Kapoor. Then on May 26, 2005, the much-in-love couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy, Jahaan Kapoor, and the rest is a sweet ongoing journey of love and happiness.

According to a report in Zoom TV, in the finale episode of the celebrity reality show, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, Ananya Panday and her BFF, Shanaya Kapoor indulged in a conversation about their respective parents. The Liger actress reacted to her parents, Chunky Panday and Bhavana Panday's smooch after their wedding on the show. Reacting to the same, Ananya admitted that it was a bit too much for her to witness as their daughter. When Ananya asked Shanaya to reveal how she would react if her parents, Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, would kissed in public like her parents, answering this, the celeb daughter admitted that she would've left that place. She said:
"I won't be okay. Like you were still okay, I would just be like 'I'm leaving'. I wasn't looking. It would be too much for me."
Since the release of the second season of Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor are all over the news, courtesy of the latter's shocking revelation in one of the show's episodes. For the unversed, the celebrity wife unfolded some major revelations from her happy married life that had clearly proved that every marriage is built differently. However, Maheep's revelation had explained how every marriage demands sacrifice, effort, and struggle, as it is not a fairytale all the time. Opening up about the same, while having a conversation with Seema Sajdeh on the show, Maheep had shared that there was a time in the initial years of her marriage when her husband, Sanjay had cheated on her. The revelation had shocked everyone, and since then, the couple has been all over the news. Maheep had said:
"Now you know it Seema (Seema Sajdeh). Initially in my marriage, there was an indiscretion that Sanjay had or whatever. I walked out with Shanaya. I stood up for myself but then, I had a newborn baby. Again, as a woman and as a mother, the first priority is my child. I owed my daughter this amazing father, which he is. I owed it to myself. And if I look back and if I broke this s#@t up, I would have regretted it all my life. Because when my kids walk into my home, my husband walks into my home, this is their sanctuary. They need to feel peace. And I feel Sanjay gives that to me also."

In the same interview, Maheep Kapoor had also dropped another truth bomb about her married life with Sanjay Kapoor, as she recalled the time when the latter used to think of stabbing her. The doting wife had also explained the story behind her revelation and shared how it was not all about the mistake made by her husband, as she has also been quite intolerable at times. Reflecting on her marriage journey with Sanjay, she added how they had forgiven one another in different stages of their lives. Opening up about the same, she had explained:
"What happened (happened) 100 years ago, of course. And I want to tell you that for me, I am grateful that we moved (on)… Marriage is shades of grey. I know that for him, marriage is lifelong. Forgiveness? We have both forgiven each other on many stages in our lives. I have been a royal f#&king b@#ch. He had wanted to stab me many times. We have grown through this journey and we've come out stronger."
On the professional front, Maheep Kapoor is currently seen in the show, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives 2, which premiered on September 2, 2022.
