Embracing motherhood is one of the blessed phases of a woman’s life. Right from getting to know about the news, carrying the little baby inside her to the feel of taking the cotton ball in her arms and giving the first emotional peck on the baby’s forehead, a mother cherishes each and every moment with her little munchkin. Saumya Tandon had secretly tied the knot with Saurabh Devendra Singh in December 2016. After enjoying their doubles’ life for a few years, the couple was blessed with a baby boy on January 14, 2019. And ever since, she is eagerly monitoring each and every moment with her little bundle of joy. And now, after her maternity leave of four months, the actress is back to work and guess who accompanied her on the sets? For the answer, scroll down to the next para!
Recently, SpotboyE got in touch with Saumya to dig into the details of her returning to the show. When she was asked if Miraan was also on the sets, she replied, “Yes, he was with me on the sets. I am not going to leave him home. I am a feeding mother. He was on the sets, in my vanity van, for about 5 hours. I sent him back after that.” When she was further probed to tell if she will take Miraan on the sets every day, pat came her reply, “I will continue to get Miraan on the sets as I don't want to compromise on breastfeeding.”
Further elaborating on what all happened on the sets, the newbie mommy shared, “There was so much to do when I reached on the sets after so many days. Lots to catch up on. Malkhan (Deepesh Bhan) and Tillu (Salim Zaidi) had got married, they showed me many pictures. Sometime back when the rumours of her pregnancy started coming to the forefront, Saumya had told The Times of India, “I am aware that rumours about me planning a family are doing the rounds. My reply is that I would love to have a baby. Motherhood is a beautiful experience and I surely don’t want to miss out on that. In fact, if it happens, I will share it with everyone and enjoy it when the right time comes. As of now, I have no news to share. These things are in God’s hands. Who are we to decide? It's been 4 years for me on this show and I am very attached to it, so it was a reunion of sorts and it was very sweet.”
She had further added, “Also, my producers are so accommodating and sweet that they had once told me that even during pregnancy, I can continue doing the show, and later go on maternity leave. The Angoori bhabhi of the same show, Shubhangi Atre Poorey, had talked to the Hindustan Times about Saumya’s pregnancy and had then stated, “I neither know about her leaving the show or being pregnant. Motherhood is the best thing that can happen to a woman, but I don’t know anything concerning her. She was on a break for health reasons and I am yet to meet her.”
But then announcing this happy news with her fans on social media, Saumya had shared the below picture and captioned it as, "Woke up feeling like a magician today, feel like a superhero without a cape most days now, filled with blessing and godliness. Constantly excited by the buzzing in my head and the sudden pump of hormones; this promises to be a fascinating ride. The big news-I'm PREGNANT and trying to soak in every moment of it! When The Times of India went on to contact her, she had happily announced the same, “I am glad to declare I am pregnant. There has been a lot of speculation about that since a long time. Probably the news came before I even planned it. Things just fell into place and I am glad that I am going to have a baby. I am grateful to God. Thanks for your wishes.”
Further revealing if she would be coming back to work after delivering the baby, she had retorted, “I know there will be a lot of questions about my work plan, but there is a place and right time for those answers, right now it is about celebrating and taking all your good wishes for me. Of course, I plan to continue working and acting as long as I live. Hate to give this explanation though, I don’t think being a mother makes any woman hold back her passion, dream or work, it only empowers her more. What I can assure everyone is that I will keep on trying to the raise the bar for myself and hopefully to not disappoint the viewers with my work.”
