Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's Delhi home, which is designed by Gauri herself, is filled with precious memories of the couple as both of them belong from Delhi. And now, this humble abode incorporated of priceless moments is open to the public for a homestay in collaboration with Airbnb!
Gauri Khan took to her IG handle a few moments ago and shared a video, giving a tour of her Delhi house. She announced that their humble abode in Delhi is now open for the general public to stay in collaboration with Airbnb. She wrote, "Our Delhi home is filled with memories of our early days, what we collected over the years and all the things we love as a family! It holds a very special place in my heart. The superstar, Shah Rukh Khan also took to his IG handle and shared several pictures of his beautiful wife, Gauri in their lavish Delhi home. Alongside the pictures, the actor wrote, "With so many memories of our early days in Delhi, the city holds a very special place in our hearts. @gaurikhan has redesigned our Delhi house and filled it with love and moments of nostalgia. Gauri Khan talked about the same in a conversation with the Vogue India and said, "This is a city that brings back memories of my school life, my college life, my family and friends… waiting for our Friday movie at home with a glass of soft drink and popcorn." The star couple's New Delhi residence that is surrounded with unusual pieces of art and artefacts, photographs, collectables and everything that gives the nostalgic feeling and captures the best moments of the family. Gauri Khan, who is a renowned name in the world of interior designing, agreed that designing her home in New Delhi was the starting point of her journey as a celebrated interior designer. The superstar couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are proud owners of several other homes as well, which includes a six-storey 26,328 square foot home, Mannat and a villa in Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE. According to an India Today report, Mannat is estimated to cost around 200 crores as per January 2019. And their Dubai villa, Jannat costs around Rs 24 crore as per a 2018 report by Times Now. Apart from Mannat and Jannat, Shah Rukh also owns a Rs 172 crore house at Park Lane, London.
Earlier, in an interview with NDTV, Gauri Khan had shared how her mother has the remote-control of their house in Mumbai, Mannat and she manages the house from Delhi. Elaborating on the same, Gauri had said that her mother is constantly on call and WhatsApp with the staff at Mannat, supervising the cleaning and managing the house from Delhi. In her words, "Most of my organisation has been remote-controlled by my mum, who is in Delhi. She is on the hotline with the staff, pictures going back and forth, WhatsApp messages… 'This space is dirty and this needs a full cleanup, this needs sanitisation' and all that goes on. It keeps her busy and it keeps my staff in check." Gauri had also shared that she has learned a lot from her mother, Savita Chhiba, and she has been a huge helping hand to her. She had added, "I have learned so much from her, she is basically handling my home through remote control, via messages and phone calls. She has been a huge helping hand."
