Being a parent is a big responsibility! However, everything subsides when you hold your little one in your arms. Pavitra Rishta 2 actor, Shaheer Sheikh and his wife, Ruchikaa Kapoor are living the best days of their lives as a few days back, they welcomed a baby into their world. On September 10, 2021, Shaheer and Ruchikaa got blessed with a baby girl and the proud parents are on cloud nine.
Just like their relationship, for the longest time, Shaheer Sheikh and Ruchikaa Kapoor had kept their pregnancy under the wraps. It was in July 2021, when Ruchikaa had confirmed her pregnancy reports subtly by participating in Kareena Kapoor Khan's pregnancy challenge, 'Beboo's Pregnancy Bingo'. From food cravings to setting up a nursery, Ruchikaa had opened up about everything related to her pregnancy. Reposting the challenge on her IG stories, she had written, "Never done a bingo but then anything for my Favesss @kareenakapoorkhan @poonamdamania. Can't wait to read the book! All the bestesttt to the hottest mama."

It was after the news of Shaheer and Ruchikaa’s baby’s birth broke out that the actor has been openly talking about it. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shaheer expressed his excitement on becoming a father and said, “What do I tell you? I can’t even express it in words honestly. It is something else. I thought I have lived a few years on this planet and have experienced a lot of emotions. But when I held my little one in my arms, I can’t describe it - it was something else.”
Shaheer Sheikh also mentioned that it took him three days to let the feeling of being a father sink in. He added, “I have never ever felt anything close to that, and it took almost three days to sink in. Whenever I look at her, I feel overwhelmed. There is this crazy range of emotions going through me which I don’t even understand. So it took me a lot of time because I was running around, a lot was happening.”

Mentioning that how he was busy a few days to ensure that everything is fine, Shaheer added, “It didn’t sink in and I was not understanding the whole thing. I was just trying to make sure everything is ok, we are doing everything right, and my whole concentration was on that. I had no clue what’s happening to me emotionally and mentally.” Talking about their baby’s name, Shaheer mentioned that he and his wife, Ruchikaa have not decided on any name for their baby girl yet.
In a conversation with ETimes, talking about his approach towards fatherhood, Shaheer had said, “I have my own theories to follow as a father. You often resolve that when you become a parent, you will do certain things in a particular way and I, too, had thought about it. Now, whether that happens depends on destiny. But I believe that every individual should have the right to follow their path and dreams and I want that for my child, too.”
Shaheer Sheikh and Ruchikaa Kapoor had tied the knot in November 2020.
