From being co-stars to parents of a little angel, Anayka, the couple has come a long, blissful way. Married in 2017, Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta had embraced parenthood on April 15, 2020, with the arrival of their little girl named, Anayka Gupta. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Smriti Khanna had given a sneak-peek into baby Anayka's first Ganesh puja celebrations. The adorable mother-daughter duo had twinned in a red and white suit. The doting mother had shared cute pictures with her little 'Gannu'. Take a look at them below:
On October 7, 2020, Smriti Khanna took to her IG handle and gave a glimpse of her little baby girl, Anayka's first swimming lessons. In the picture, the gorgeous mommy can be seen in the pool holding her goofball in her arms. Baby Anayka looked a little terrified of the water around her. The beautiful backdrop of the sea and sky made for a perfect picture of the precious mother-daughter moment. Smriti captioned the picture as "My doll's first swim."
On September 15, 2020, Smriti's little girl had turned five-months and the actress had shared glimpses of her baby girl's OOTD. In the pictures, we could see Anayka looking gorgeous in checkered-print dungarees. The post was captioned as "Look daddy @mistergautam. I'm a big girl now. #5monthsold #expressionqueen."
On September 11, 2020, Smriti Khanna's doting husband, Gautam Gupta had shared a beautiful picture of Smriti with their angel, Anayka and pooch, Lucas. In the picture, Smriti was seen caressing the two babies, Anayka and Lucas to sleep and the picture had spoken volumes about the responsibilities of motherhood. After Anayka's birth, the young mommy, Smriti had raised a common issue amongst young mothers these days in an interview with The Times of India. She had talked about postpartum depression and had shared, "I have realised that even if you speak good on social media and educate people about pregnancy and mother, haters will still troll you. I felt that people did not discuss much about pregnancy, weight issues, breastfeeding and I feel these topics should come out openly in our society because there are so many myths and women struggle all their life to lose weight. There are so many times that this becomes a matter of depression for them. They stop stepping out because they are not looking a certain way or not fitting into their dress. Some women are scared to get pregnant. There is postpartum depression and it is a big thing and it is not spoken in India."
On August 5, 2020, Smriti Khanna had posted a picture with hubby, Gautam and daughter, Anayka. Flaunting their yellow ensembles, the whole family had looked like a bunch of sunflowers. In her caption, Smriti had written, "Having a nurturing and cognizant partner always standing by your side is such manna from heaven, especially when you enter motherhood and realize how challenging it can be when it comes to managing breastfeeding as a part & parcel of daily life routine. A very important thing that I and Gautam are learning during parenthood is how to be resilient and instrumental for each other!"
