On October 12, 2020, Smriti Khanna had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a hilarious picture, proving that she is not a regular mom. The actress had posted a picture, wherein, we could see her biting her toenail, just like her baby girl, Anayka. Alongside the picture, Smriti had written, "We learn much more than we can teach them. #parenting #toddlerlife."
Smriti Khanna's brother-in-law, Gaurav Gupta is celebrating his birthday today, and to wish the birthday boy, the actress shared a cute picture of baby Anayka with her chachu. In the picture, we can see Anayka playing gleefully in the arms of her chachu while he tries his best to entertain her. Baby Anayka looked cute as a button dressed as a Santa Claus. On January 15, 2020, the doting mommy, Smriti Khanna had taken to her IG stories and had shared a cute picture of Anayka, looking like a cotton ball in a pink-coloured top, royal-blue-coloured lower with cute clips pinned to her hair. Anayka’s frowning expression was hard to miss. Atop the picture, Smriti had written, “Pretty in pink, but not as innocent as you think.”
Talking about Smriti and Gautam's baby girl's unique name, the actress had revealed the story of the same in an interview with the Hindustan Times. She had said that it took them 20 days to decide her name. She had further revealed what 'Anayka' means and had added that it denotes powerful and complete. She feels Anayka is an apt name for her daughter. The actress had also said that she had wanted a baby girl and her wish had come true. In a throwback interview with Zoom Digital, Smriti Khanna had talked about the challenges she had faced in breastfeeding her daughter, Anayka Gupta and how her hubby, Gautam Gupta had supported her throughout. The doting mommy was quoted as saying, “I am breastfeeding and struggling with that. Every new mom struggles with breastfeeding. It is not spoken about so much in our country but it should be because it is such a struggle and if you plan to exclusively breastfeed your kid, then it is really hard. Maybe it is easier for some women and comes naturally to them, but I am facing a lot of problems and Gautam has been really supportive. He has been Googling and trying to show me all these videos like the perfect latch for the kid and all that. We are struggling but of course, are together in this, so it makes a huge difference.”
Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta had celebrated their baby girl, Anayka Gupta’s half-birthday at their home with a yummylicious cake. For the celebrations, Smriti and Anayka had twinned in blue-coloured ruffled dresses and Gautam had complemented the mother-daughter duo in a white t-shirt and blue denim. Sharing the adorable pictures of baby Anayka as she had completed 6-months, Smriti had written, "Happy ½ Birthday my princess."
