Former actress and an author, Soha Ali Khan keeps hitting it to the headlines every now and then. For the ones who have been living under the rocks, Soha walked down the aisle with Kunal Kemmu on January 25, 2015. Together the couple welcomed a baby girl, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, on September 29, 2017. Soha was very expressive all throughout her pregnancy journey and even after the birth of Inaaya. Recently, Soha, at a special screening of a Touch of Care campaign by Vicks shared some interesting details about being a mother, how she started respecting her mom even more after Inaaya, some instances and much more. Soha, in a media interaction, was quoted as saying, "I always thought what it's like to be a mother. When you become a mother, you respect your mother so much more. For the first time last week, I left my daughter Inaaya alone with my husband Kunal Kemmu and he called me up at the end of the day and said he has so much respect for the fact that I do this every day".
She also revealed that she and Kunal even once thought of adopting a child. Soha stated, "It's not about biology. When I was thinking about having a child and wasn't sure whether we would have a biological child and we were open to adoption... The Perils of Being Moderately Famous author further added, "The question is are you ready to be a parent? Anyone can be a parent whether you have a biological child or not. And parenting is where the reward, love, and care is.”
In a recent interaction with a leading daily, on being asked about her life post-Inaaya, Soha remarked, “The first week after leaving the hospital was terrifying. Earlier, you lived in joint families. Now it’s just Kunal and I at home. Of course, my mother came for some time and his parents also dropped by. She further added, “But ultimately it is just us at home. So, it’s quite different. The obvious change for me is that I am used to being in control of things. I am a control freak. I like to plan and organise things, whether it’s fitness, eating on time and getting my ten hours of sleep. All of that has gone out of the window. I’m no longer the boss, Inaaya is.
