Know all about Half-Saree Function

The ceremony is celebrated with the blessings of relatives and close friends. It is said that the girl for whom the function is organised wears a half-saree. The traditional ensemble is called Langa Voni or half-saree. It comprises of a flared skirt, blouse and a dupatta that is draped as a saree. The girl's close relatives attend the ceremony and gift her half-saree, which she wears in the other half of her ceremony.

For the ceremony, the young girl decks up in a pretty half-saree. She even gets her hair and makeup for the ritual. However, the best part is the traditional jewellery which she dons to complete her look for the ritual. The function also includes puja, a traditional food buffet, photoshoots, and DJ that makes it look like a grand festivity.
